Hello everybody! I am curious what kind of emotion type everybody is as person. I got from this website that there are 4 emotion types:


The intellectual

This person is extremely bright, often relying more on facts than feelings. Intellectuals think more logically and analytical. In highly emotional situations, they’re able to remain calm and think clearly.


The empath

This individual is highly sensitive and attuned to feelings of others. If you’re happy, they’re happy — and if you’re sad, they’re sad. Empaths are also very good listeners.


The rock

Just as the name implies, this person has considerable emotional resilience. They often appear as the pillar of strength in stressful situations. While others may seem unable to manage their emotions, the rock is often cool and calm.


The gusher

Unlike the intellectual and the rock, the gusher isn’t against crying, screaming, yelling, or shouting during stressful times.

The empath i think bc it talks about highly sensitive and i have that too but not only about feelings of others also abt other things. Opinions from others can make me very stressed. I know a lot of people say that you should not have that but i still have it. Like in groups and what they think of me or if you give a presentation that gives me a LOTTTT of stress.


3️⃣ How do you calm down again when you are super stressed?


I like breathing deep and calmly if nobody is around. And drinking certain teas or making yourself warm and comfortable helps. And i use some tips from the stress free forum: https://penpal-gate.net/forum/12-everyday-life-and-customs/10062-meditation-yoga-and-stress-free-forum And listening to lofi music helps and i like certain youtube videos that people give you more confidence.

For me online i am normally not very shy except in some cases. But in normal life a LOTTT more and sometimes i think that people are disappointed if you are talktive online but in real life they think you are shy and maybe the dont like that or expected more.


5️⃣ Do you have fears (for example speaking for a big group or certain animals or fear of hights)?


I am not really afraid of animals EXCEPT SHARKSSS!!! That is my biggest fear!!!! And i am not very comfortable about haunted things or spirit kind of things that you cant see.

Yes i got sometimes panic attacks but not a lot. I wrote in the forum i said in answer 3 abt it and what i do to get calm.

Yes but not very often.

I think I'm a mix of everything except the gusher. I have difficulty noticing my own emotions so I focus on being logical and making others happy. Also, since I can't feel things well, most of the time I'm pretty calm and trying to find a solution to problems instead of crying over them.

Things I can fail that will have an impact on the long term are stressful for me. For example exams or meeting people. And being alone makes me depressed so I can't ever win ):

Cleaning helps me calm down when I feel negative emotions like anger, sadness, or stress. Taking a walk or crying also helps. But I hate crying, it makes me feel useless.

4️⃣ Are you in real life more shy than online (for example that you are more silent and not say as much)?

YES. In real life, I'm as talkative as a glass of water. My main excuse is that I have nothing to say, but that's not always true. The problem is that when I do have something to say, someone else is talking and I don't want to interrupt, or I'm too shy and I decide it's not worth it.

Speaking in public and eating in front of people I don't know or don't know well. I don't know where the second one comes from, but it can be very annoying.

6️⃣ Did you ever have panic attacks or feeling sick from stress and what helps when you have that?

Not really. When I get too stressed I start playing with stuff, for example twirling my skirt between my fingers. Now I have a little squishy cat plushie that I play with instead.

I cried internally, does that count? 'The Elephant Man' was very sad.

well... I'm kinda mixed of all, it depends on which situation or the person i must deal. like for example:
if someone talk to me or need someone to listen, i often be the empath, but when the person is almost give up or feel like they are useless, i would be the mixed of the intellectual and the rock, yeah, i know i must be a person who give some strength, if i also cry or because if I also look stressed or see them as helpless when they need shoulder, it only make them feel small.

Of course if I fail or I make a mistake or I can't help person, even though it's the person own fault, but it makes me sad. Because if I were in that person position, I know what solution I should do. But because the capacity and ability of the person are different, that's why I'm sad. like i really wish the best for that person.

by shutting my mouth and sleep, after i sleep, i prefer to talk it again and solve it with a cool head and with a calmer tone.

Not really, rather than shy, i feel like i look cold. like, i don't like to talk something unecessary like gossiping or exchanging rumour about people I know.

i have an advice.
Well, imo, it's so important to everyone to learn how to regulate their emotions cause it's so good and beneficial you and for people. regulating does not mean holding back, but rather knowing where and how to channel it, when you master in regulate it, no matter what situation you are in, you can handle it. Other people may want to help, but that doesn't mean you can use them as your emotional punching bag, you need to help yourself, you need to understand yourself, you need to embrace yourself. Because again, no matter how positive the reaction or way other people help you, if you don't want to be positive inside, it will be harder for you to recover.

4) Yes, definitely. In real life, I don't usually express my opinions or talk to people first.

5) I do (like everyone I guess), I'm scared of spiders a things that swim in cold water.

6) I had a panic attack before. It's actually painful and I hope that no one here is going to have any, but if it happens, it's very important to breath (I know people say that all the time, but it's very helpful).

Do you think crying is a sign of "weakness" ? I don't think so, but some people do and I would like to get their point of vue 🙂

I think it's a sign of weakness as in the sense that it makes you vulnerable because it makes your vision blurry and you're less reactive. But I don't think crying is a bad thing, I simply believe it's not something you should do in front of just anyone. Crying in front of someone else is something personal, that you should only do with people you really trust, in my opinion.

Hi yue, nice forum, i wonder from who and where you learn all of this?


Ok i hope that you dont laugh but i like to take online tests and read if sometimes i feel not really certain abt some things or for example if i feel a LOTTT of emotions but that it makes your head like soup. So it is difficult to think very clearly bc you feel too much everywhere and if you read stuff online it can help you. And i like to take online quizes and the website explains things for example about your personality or emotion type. That helps too but i did not like all questions so i just made my own questions that i think are maybe nice.


And thank you very much for the advice that you gave. But if i sometimes feel overwhelmed or super stressy i just hold back what you said we should not do. But it is difficult to be calm and think super clear. So i just prefer to be more on background in normal life. And then it is already less stressy.

I also try like @Miss_Penpal not to show if i cry to other persons. But with VERY good friends sometimes it happens BUT NOT A LOTTT!!! But if you have to cry i believe that you should NOT hold back even when you are alone or with a good friend. Bc we believe that if you hold back crying it blocks you inside and you need to release so you are not blocked. And crying can clean your soul that is what my grandmom always told me. She said crying is NOTTT weak bc it is natural and if you block you are UNNATURAL only bc others want it like that. That is also why if you cry you feel often better after it. 🙂

You just need to find other autistic people. Neurotypicals have almost no empathy towards neurodivergents, it's not your fault. I'm sure if we met we could get along, but I highly doubt I'll meet many people on Penpal Gate in real life.

@Miss_Penpal i also have a mental age of around 7,8 and its also the aspect of 'adult feels' that are different and difficult in a safe way

I understand, that sounds difficult. But I think that's a good thing because children are better humans than adults in my opinion, the only problem is that they don't know much. So I think you must be an awesome person.
