On November 16, 1933, the tomb of King Seqenenre Taa II was discovered in Egypt, one of the rulers of the Seventeenth Dynasty in the era of the Second Transition. Seqenenre was famous for his role in resisting the Hyksos, and the discovery of his tomb was important evidence of that historical era.
