Very interesting facts!
As per Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, she wasnโ€™t the first female president, but certainly one of the few. She was the second! First was Isabel Martinez de Perรณn, and if Iโ€™m not wrong, she was the first female president of the world even!

Regarding the people liking her, I canโ€™t deny there is a huge chunk of the country that has supported her and loved her and does until today. I personally canโ€™t agree with her politics, and sheโ€™s been in the verge of prison many times. Itโ€™s basically known her government has stolen money from the state, and if iโ€™m not wrong sheโ€™s about to be convicted again. Sheโ€™s been involved in many sketchy situations. Although, sadly, sheโ€™s not the only one that should be convicted for that.
Thank you for thinking of me Yue!! ๐Ÿฉต

Thank you very much @martutuni!! I did not know about Isabel Martinez de Perรณn and i copied what it said on the website with the news facts! ๐Ÿ˜› It is nice also women can be president!! But maybe the first president was better than the other if she is even convicted of crimes and stealing money!! ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„

In our country we have a queen Maxima and she is from Argentina! ๐Ÿ˜› Everybody in our country likes her a lot. But she is now also Dutch because she is the queen. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ‘‘

Yes I feel like most French people know that the Statue of Liberty was a gift from France to the US.

@Etienne: is Bill Gates one of your idols because he is also a programmer? Do you think he was very good or not?

He is not an idol of mine but I do admire his skills and vision

Thank you very much @Parsaa! Nobody told me if people from Iran like Ahmadinejad, but I was just curious who you all like the most! ๐Ÿ™‚ But I dont know any of them really much. But it is nice to learn about it i think! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

Like it has been said already, I think it is a common knowledge in France and we even have many replicas of it everywhere. For instance, there is one close to my city.

Maybe something that is less popular is that it took years to first build before being shipped to the US. In the US, it was also stored more than a year before being assembled.

Thank you very much @Lianshen!! I did not know that at all also the second thing what you wrote!! ๐Ÿ™‚ I like writing this forum a lot every day because i learn a lot and I hope others maybe too!! ๐Ÿ˜›

6๏ธโƒฃ Hurricane Mitch made landfall, hitting northern Honduras; one of the deadliest Atlantic hurricanes on record, it caused some 11,000 deaths in Central America. This happened on 29 October 1998 and so the hurricane was also called October Monster. ๐ŸŒŽ๐ŸŒช๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ข Here is more about Hurricane Mitch: https://www.history.com/topics/natural-disasters-and-environment/hurricane-mitch

Welcome to belgium @Yue I always think that's so bad about the one-child family in China. I once saw a report about that. and many children were kidnapped at the time

I found this about the first topic mentioned above in today's list. It is about the person who created Turkey: https://www.bbc.co.uk/history/historic_figures/ataturk_kemal.shtml Maybe it is interesting to read about it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you very much @Lianshen!! I did not know that at all also the second thing what you wrote!! ๐Ÿ™‚ I like writing this forum a lot every day because i learn a lot and I hope others maybe too!! ๐Ÿ˜›
It's my pleasure, and there is indeed a lot to learn. I also discover new events through your thread ๐Ÿ™‚

This one is very interesting as it is full of drama and twists. I would not write much about this one here, and I am sure that someone like @diogenes_cask has more accurate iinformations than me. Nevertheless, France, UK and US are all involved in a way or another in this war, which is much more important than we often believe to understand today's world.

Hello everybody @Yue is some day out with family so i will put in here name things what happend the past years on 30 octobre 130 - Emperor Hadrian founded Antinopolis (Egypt), statues of Antinoรผs were built in the city and temples were built.[1]
1897 - The 'Delftsche Studenten Bond' is founded in cafรฉ de Kruif on the Houttuinen in Delft.[1]
1955 - Jommeke, Jef Nys's cartoon character, appears in print for the first time.
1990 - A first group of Belgian paratroopers returns to Belgium after a 24-day humanitarian assignment in Rwanda.
1994 - One hundred Haitian detainees, including police officers from the overthrown military regime, escape from prison in Port-au-Prince.
1994 - One of the most wanted suspects in the Italian bribery scandal, a financier who worked closely with socialist former Prime Minister Bettino Craxi, is arrested in Paris after nearly two years on the run.
2012 - Hurricane Sandy leaves a trail of destruction in the Caribbean, the United States and Canada. Dozens of people die and millions of people are left without power.
2014 - The Costa Rican volcano Turrialba erupts for the first time in years. The ash ends up in the capital San Josรฉ, 50 kilometers away.
2019 - Following the Farmers' Protest, the construction sector demonstrates on the Malieveld against the nitrogen policy and the excessively high PFAS standard.
2023 - An accident at a construction site in the รœberseequartier, located in the old port area in Hamburg (Germany) also known as HafenCity, leaves at least 3 fatalities and several construction workers injured. People also go missing, but according to the fire brigade, the search for them is extremely dangerous due to the further risk of collapse.[2]

It's my pleasure, and there is indeed a lot to learn. I also discover new events through your thread ๐Ÿ™‚

Indeed, Suez Crisis was a major event in history and it has turned all the balance of forces upside down. Israeli forces occupied the Sinai, a sparsely-populated desert region in Egypt, halting their advance only 10 miles from the eastern side of the canal. It was not a remarkable advence at all but Britain has paid the largest political bill for the impacts of "Operation Musketeer". Under intense pressure, particularly from the US, troops were rapidly withdrawn and replaced by a UN force. Its outcome highlighted Britainโ€™s declining status and confirmed it as a โ€˜second tierโ€™ world power. From then on, US has became the 'first one' in the global stage. Domestically it caused a massive political fallout in Britain and resulted in an economic crisis. Britain saw Suez Crisis as a threat to its economic interests and prestige, US saw it as potential increasement of Soviet influence over Egypt. Soviets saw it as an opportunity to have a political impact in Middle East. As always, politics in Middle East was kind of a Gordian Knot.

Today is my birthday.
