I am from Donbass (LPR). Igor is 100% right. In Ukraine, Russians and Ukrainians on the Russian side are fighting against Russians and Ukrainians on the Ukrainian side. Wether you believe it or not,t he Ukrainian army indeed attacked civilians in Donbass and that the war has been Ukrainians against other Ukrainians + Russians mostly. In the same vein, it is true that a part of Ukraine has been very russianophobe and that the country has been divided for a while... I don't know why would it be a hard to swallow pill.
