Again, DWeaters, we all have different opinions and it doesn't lead us nowhere. Are we still remember Vietnam, Iraq, Libia, Syria, Jugoslavia, Afghanistan etc? Was it Panda-Chana? Do we remember what Japanis did in in 1941-1945? People do not learn anything. We are still beating the drums of war!
The second Iraq War I was against and had hoped for the Iraqi military to defeat the US troops' invasion for the sake of defending their sovereignty. But that did not turn out to be the case. Saddam Hussein ridiculed the US but I believed in him. He was like an father figure in my eyes who had a more secular lead over their country's politics and kept the peace. President Bush Jr was rabid for vengeance against an old man who did not pose anymore of a meaningful threat at the time. Hussein was a madman growing into his role and mutilated many civilians to make them submit to him, But with age he finally mellowed down into someone irreplacable, and made the best judgments from the biggest mistakes one leader can learn from.
Yugoslavia, Our president Clinton at the time had recended in to the background after facing a worldwide humiliation from the sex scandal at his place of work. He was in his last year of office and our president was once, seen among the nest of world leaders and me too for his intelligence and assertive decisions taking us in one direction. The last good thing the Clinton cold do as a good president was pull our infighting parties over a scandal and take an intervention into a genocide of bodies piled high of a people in Yugoslavia. CLinton asked the American people if we wanted to take this action, and we said yes. It was not a committed investment into Yugoslavia with troops on the ground, but with bombs from the air. There were many casualties and some angery mothers dancing on the wing of a stealth plane, which would have contributed to bad health from the toxic fumes.
Afghanistan. How can I say that Afghanistan did not deserve this war? Afghanishatn's government was porous and allowed many militias in through their borders and who then created terrorist camps there. The Talliban were the arms of Afghanistan who maintained order with a heavy hand. They banded together after Russia's attempt to topple the leadership and create law and order. But Russia met fierce resistance from an adept people who were acclimated to the moutains there. With no king on power the people had civil war for some years until the Talliban took over people's freedom to mingle with the world and they began a famine from a economic fallout after Russian intervention. American's were the target of a jealous Bin Ladin who settled into his new safe haven in Afghanistan. He felt he has to meet the people who wronged him and planned massive attacks against us. After the last attack on September 2001, we decided we had enough. Our President Bush Jr made it known that the enemay had declared war on our home soil and we would take our resolve to Afghanistan to hold those responsible as a warning to be in good order toward the nations who associate with relative peace and high living standards. There were those in Afghanistan who'd like to have their country back the way it was in the '70's with ruler Mohammed Zahir Shah, and a modern country when people did not have racism.
