beautiful weather everywhere so time for a refreshing topic. are you a water person? when you go to a pool do you swim laps or do you prefer to relax? do you prefer to go to a pool party or swim with kids?
For me yes but we can swim in like a small lake with a mini beach and some trees or in a swimming pool. And i think the lake is more nice because you have more space BUTTT there is not so much shadow. So i prefer going to the swimming pool in my country.
And my parents dont really like it except for on holiday the beach maybe one or two times. But at home i sometimes go if friends of me from school also go. And it is just to cool down and to relax but that also depends on others at the pool if it is nice or sometimes with groups not at all. Sometimes there are problems in the pools if groups try to make problems and make troubles for others or they get in fight with another group. But normally that does not happen only sometimes.
I also have a question for everybody who writes in this forum: in your country do you have to wear a cap for your hair if you go to a pool? I talked this weekend with my parents and i go with a friend from me and her parents to France this summer. But somebody here on PPG told me that in France you must wear a cap in the pool so i will buy it because in our country we dont have to wear that.

@Yue_ the rules in swimming pools have changed completely in belgium since 2 days, loose shorts and clothing are suddenly no longer allowed, in the west vlaanderen we don't have to wear a swimming cap yet, but in wallonia a swimming cap has been mandatory for some time now
I don't like going to public pools because there's always too many people. But when I do go in water, I prefer to just chill like a crocodile.
Here there are some pools that require a cap, but not everywhere. The caps are mostly so your hair doesn't get stuck in the pool's filters, and some pools just don't care about the water people play in. That's another reason why I dislike public pools.

Here in our country everybody can normally wear what they want if you go to the swimming pool and you leave stuff in the lockers. And sometimes you need a coin for it or you have that you swipe with a chip but you can swim with it underwater.

I thought the cap was a rule for hygene but i did not know it is because you get stuck in the filters. Normally in my country filters are not really a problem bc almost never accidents happen and people around you can help you or the people who work for the pool. But if you get stuck you can drown.
In lakes it is not required too and nobody wears them in lakes or swimming pools.
I LOVE to swim. Usually I go to the swimming pool, because the lake nearby is a bit "poisonous", and I'll just chill or swim depending on my mood.
But @Yue_, I think wearing a cap is not obligatory in France... I don't do it when I go with friends or family, only when I have to go with school. But you should buy one just in case. By the way, I think that going to France is amazing π !

It is for hygene, I meant that when your hair sheds in the pool it ends up in the filters.
The last times we dont go to it ( might be a very good idea to go there) but about an hour from as there is a river called Navia, with a town called Navia de Suarna, and thats a nice river.

Lately I have been doing laps in an olympic pool, just to get myself moving. I do feel very uncomfortable about my body at times and being around other half naked people makes me feel anxious

Thanksss @AgDel and also thank you @Miss_Penpal!!! I thought you meant @Miss_Penpal that if you get stuck with long hair in the filter bc you can drown. It happened some times in The Netherlands but not often in a way that you MUSTTT wear a cap. But for hygene they put stuff in the water which you can smell and they kill bacteria. In Dutch it is chloor but i dont know the English word. So normally that is enough.
And i think you are right @AgDel so i will buy it here just to be sure. But my mom made a joke if i buy red than i am both the Dutch ANDDD the French flag with that and swimming outfit which is white and blue. But with a red cap i am like the flag!!! π So maybe that is funny idea or stupid so i am not sure yet. I will ask what the name is of the place in France and let you know @AgDel!! π

Thanks @Miss_Penpal!! I think for hygene in the pool that is enough. BUTTT it is not really good for your skin and eyes. But in lakes in my country there are sometimes blue algee (I hope i write it correctly). And they are bacteria and you can get really sick. But it is only in some lakes. So both in lakes and pools it can be a bit harmful but not really a lot.
