A funny fact about today for the Dutch forum:

Today is Nationale Krokettendag! Kroketten are very dutch and it is a hot snack that is crispy from outside and inside is minced meat. I dont really eat that myself because of the meat and it is very fatty, but it is VERY popular. Here you can see a picture of Kroketten and also news in Dutch about Nationale Krokettendag: https://www.fijnedagvan.nl/info/nationale-krokettendag/ There are even hot snack shops where there is a wall and you pay with your bank card and you can open a small door with a snack behind it like for example a kroket. Do you also sell kroketten in Belgium? But you eat them in restaurants perhaps? Here they also have them in restaurants but i think the FEBO is very Dutch! 😛

@Yue i made kroketten by meself because i have the recipes from my parents when we,are little my parents have a market and they selled (verkopen) the handmade kroketten sorry my englisch is bad

I think the kroketten that @Fleurke make are a LOTTTT less fatty than in the store like FEBO. But it is very Dutch.

Haha that is very nice!!! But I dont really eat red meat because my belly gets pain like someone hits you with a needle. But I do eat fish and chicken and vegetarian too. The last time i was in Belgium I went with my mom and aunt and we went to Antwerp. I like the Belgian waffles they are very nice, but one big one is also very heavy. 🙂

Do you also make kroketten with shrimps maybe?

You are very brave that is good @Sabri_KC! We always try if we visit another country to eat the local food and not only for example Asian. And I dont think that there is ANY food that my dad does not like. He always says if it is dead I will eat it. And I am like: 👀
