I checked some old profiles. And I see other websites, and discord. I think penpal used to be so different, I’m sure u also do haha. But why it is changed etienne? And do u prefer the old way?? Or new one?? I prefer the old one honestly. But our whole world also changed from 16 years ago, so it’s a bit normal that we chat like this. But idk, I think people also message each other less. But Pennarossa I dont understand the problem. My friend from school came eating dinner here and it was very nice. So I was not on the forum. But that is not a problem. And I will watch maybe netflix with my mom later if she has time. And after that I come on the forum if I can and want it. So I can do things in normal life and if i have time and want it i do things here. So you can always decide what you want to do. And you have the best from the real world and use ppg when you want to. Problem solved! 🙂

Penpalgate did change, what I'm mostly sad about is that I lost contact with so many of the people I used to chat with the most.... but ig things will always change wether you want them to, or not.

I had a finnish penpal for almost 22 years (!) and I realized this would never happen again. Because the half of the time was in pre social media time so communicating via mail was common.
And an interesting fact is: Some month ago I found an old mailarchiv with lots of Mails from 2005 - 2007 and it was unbelievable how much trust people had to each other via mailing.
People wrote like talking with their best friend. It was nice that way and people were more patient and nowadays people expect to be available all the time, because we are used too via instant messaging.
Facebook destroyed a lot in that way.
