Yes you're right. But I'm confident that in the future we'll have electric powered cargo ships, hopefully it won't be too late!
Maybe from solar but I would guess mostly thanks to next gen batteries?
We talked in our society class about environment problems. And we talked about earth warmth pomps (I have no idea how to call that in English) and solar plates to warm your house. And the teacher said that for solar plates the problem is that you have to keep the electricity for longer times and you need VERY strong batteries but there are things in batteries that will be more difficult to get in the future. Like some chemicals maybe and it was i think litium or something like that but i have to look it up again! 😛
Today I made a statement with @Mulanyyy together and we think it is VERY IMPORTANT!!! So if you have a baby you must pay very good attention!! 😛
➡️ Babies and very small children should not watch tv or maximum 30 minutes per day!! And ipads and iphones should not be allowed at all because they bring it too close to their eyes!!!
We saw this both (Esma-Nur with her niece and nephew and they can use an ipad and Yue with babysitting that he can watch youtube or videoland what his parents choose) and it was too close for their eyes and too long so they become lazy and dont play in normal way anymore!!!
What do you think about this statement? True ✅ or false ❌ ?
I think that is all true BUTTT with the family i babysit on saturday morning it is the parents too who are maybe more the problem because they think it is ok. And if it is short for maybe like 20 or 30 minutes the whole day that is perhaps ok. But they dont mind if it is longer.
And when I try to play normal games or that he can try to learn to walk he doesnt want that. 🙁

Yes it's technically right, but the way to go isn't to store energy it's to push it back to the grid 😄
As for the screen time, no screens at all for babies! Engineers in the Silicon Valley have applied this rule with their own children for many year
I would like to say a few words about wolves. But this applies to all animals in urban environments. Every living creature fulfills a function in the cycle of life (except humans, who are not even good as food). Wolves are no exception.
The question is: who invades which habitat? In most cases, humans are the intruders. By sealing the ground, they are encroaching incredibly deeply on the habitats of countless plants and animals. This has an impact because the natural balance is disturbed.

What does push back to the grid mean? But do you need for those batteries also the things that are super rare later?

Yes I think that is true and it is for all wild animals. In my country there are now more wolves and they do very well. But I dont want to walk in that forest or they think you are like a hamburger with legs! 😦😦😬
For today I have a statement I made myself but I thought about it because of what @mabah and also above @Lianshen wrote. So this is my statement for today:
➡️ There should be more areas that we give back to nature and maybe even areas where people can't go to (except maybe like nature experts). So that animals are not disturbed and there is more nature again in countries that need it.
What do you think about this statement? True ✅ or false ❌ ?

So this is my statement for today:True thats why when it was corona the nature was so kalm and the animals where free and relaxing there waren't airplanes not much traffic from cars no air pollution it was beautifull thats why this poll is true➡️ There should be more areas that we give back to nature and maybe even areas where people can't go to (except maybe like nature experts). It means that instead of trying to store the energy you generate so you can use it later (which is very costly and doesn't work very well), you send that extra energy to the electric network for other people who need it right now. These other people will also, at some point, generate extra energy that you need but are unable to generate at that moment. That way, everyone's happy and you reduce the need for batteries (which yes require rare metals)

There are plenty of areas where nature follows its course, why do you assume there is a shortage of land? Maybe in some specific local areas, but definitely not on the scale of the planet

Thank you @Etienne! Now I understand what you mean with that you bring it back to the grid. So that is the electricity system and others can use it. We spoke about that also in society class BUTTT in our country there is not sufficient system. So like new houses and businesses cant get on it sometimes. That is a problem but they will work on that. 🙂
And thank you @Fleurke and @Etienne for writing about my statement for today! I just made the statement but what i really think myself i will write later because i first like to read what people think! 😛
Wowww thank you VERY MUCH Daymahr @-Unknown- for your reply to the statement!!! I think I need time to think about it, but i like that. Because i wanted with this forum that everybody can write what they want about a statement each day and we can all learn about it a lot. So this is very good!! 🙂
And what you write can also help with what you said the last!! So that people are aware of what you need and how things work. I am afraid that soon we have maybe not important resources anymore. So I hope that people dont import so much anymore OR that they are more saving what they have. And if they dont need something, dont just throw it away but share with other persons. We do that a lot too and also we get a lot that way (like cool clothes or other things). That is also important I think!
