Well i like to learn everything about other cultures and people, but not only that, i studied psychology and linguistics as well; i've always loved humanistic subjects, but sadly i couldn't make this passion a concrete job, so i consider it as an interest more than a job. I'd like to travel to learn more about other people or cultures, but it requires much money, so the only thing i can do for now is reading books about it, and chatting with other people, of course! 😜

So if you chat on PPG it is free and it does not cost any money!! And you can speak with people from every culture!! 😛

And maybe you can get a job of the other things that you studied like psychology and help patients?

Exactly! 😂 I can't help patients (at least, not in a professional way) because i'm not a psychologist, as i don't have a degree in that, even if a studied and read a lot about it. About the culture i like the most, well, i can't make a real choice because almost all of them, even if very different each others, are valid and respectable, but i can say Japanese culture is probably one of my favorite.

Thanks Yue! It would be a very nice idea, but i'm not sure i could make a good job, anyway when i have some free time i'll take a better look to it! About japanese culture, actually there are lots of things i like of it, from Yayoi period to current one, and there won't be enough time to describe them all, but to be as much synthetical as possible, if i have to choose a quality i like of japanese current culture, it's the respect they always have to other people, without any exception

Somehow, I'm back to studies (of ecology, Evolution, conservation biology...). Like @Simone724, it means that I will not get a real job, even though I might already publish during my studies, (almost) like if I was already working. A chimpanzee could also do 90% of what I do :v

It is brain dead labour that could be performed by a dog if dogs had opposing thumbs. I am definitely overqualified for it, I could easily find something way batter but I love it despite that. My colleagues are bunch of weirdos from very differen ways of life and they make me feel like if I was participating in some kind of freakshow. Go ahead and name a place where You can find former stripper suffering from ADHD, guy who wants to become Buddhist monk, junky who sleeps inside of his car and a Greek bechelor of economics at the same time xD it is a place when You can talk about hungarian wines, eastern philosophy and buy a fix of amphetamine during the same day

Wow that is very special that you have VERY different persons in your job!! But what kinds of things do you make? And do you get discounts for that? 🙂

Respect is very important but it is also in a lot of other cultures! I like it a lot. One thing I read in the news is that with the football tournament and if Japan plays: they clean the dressing room!! And everybody helps so also the trainer and the players and the helping people. That is really special because other teams make a huge mess of the dressing room. It is a nice way to give respect always. 🙂

I don't think it is more difficult than others, just a bit different and you can just press a button to make a script that you made long ago, or that someone like @Etienne, who understands programming better, did for us to use in many situations. It can be very interesting and include many different fields though. Namely, You can mix a little bit of different fields of biology, with a pinch of politics, sociology, geology or even psychology.

I thought about making a PPG university post, but I tend to use pictures and visual help a lot to explain things, so I didn't give much more thought about it. Maybe in the future 🙂

I really hope that you write something for PPG University and for pictures you can add imgur links like @Sabri_KC did for the family tree in the adoption forum! 🙂 @H_E_A_R_T told me about one other lesson that will come soon for PPG University and I would like to finish my lesson i wrote earlier too.

I hope a lot of people will write because it is nice to have things on the forum that you can learn a lot from and that are interesting. And I found out with the interviews that a LOT more people read the forum than i knew as I got private message about them, even when people dont react in the interview forum itself.

So I hope we get in the future a new lesson from you Lianshen and maybe also from @Etienne and @Simone724 (and I hope also @Txya)!!!

What kind of job do you plan on landing when you graduate? Coincidentally, if you're not hopeful you can get anything, why did you choose these fields?

Most likely in research. There are some jobs I supposed as ecology and biodiversity or even environmentalism is kind of fashion nowadays, but maybe not in very specific areas and it might be very competitive to reach those points. In research too, it might not be so easy to get past the stage of post doctorate.
Reason for why I picked this and which ironically migth also be a reason why it is not paid as good as other jobs for this level of studies is because it's a hobby-job. I honestly cannot imagine myself doing most of other things, and probably couldn't do it.
