Hello everybody! 😊😊 Yesterday was Singles Day and i wrote it in the post of yesterday in this forum: https://penpal-gate.net/forum/12-everyday-life-and-customs/10780-today-facts/9 So maybe it is nice to write a forum about Singles Day but perhaps if you know nice questions to talk abt you can write them below bc i am not sure this time what is maybe nice to talk about exactly!!!! Hahaha, I was waiting for Singles Day, but apparently I missed it.

1) Depends. I love being in a healthy relationship, but unfortunately being in a relationship doesn't always mean being in a healthy one. Right now I'm single, and I guess it's better because I can concentrate better in my own. In "the second half of my teenage years" I want to make sure I can become the best version of myself and I'm doing quite good right now, so being single doesn't bother me at all because I know it's worth it and right now I'm actually pretty good living just with myself.

2) Yes. I've had some. And I liked all of them, because I've been really happy during the. Some experiences I always wish I never made, but you learn from mistakes and from thing others do to you. So I don't regret that and it's alright. I can remember every relationship with a smile and that's what I think is most important.

3) No. Maybe the first one. But I've only been dating people I already knew as friends so not really. I think in that case (where you know those people) you shouldn't be nervous, because they should be / become your comfy place.

4) I like girls being around 15/16. Being honest, caring and funny. More introvert than extrovert but not totally introverted.

5) not really. I have a crush right now, but not too big haha.

6) I don't really know how to answer that myself because how I treat people in a relationship is just normal for me obviously, but they've said I am.

7) Not a secret one, but yes. It's been sweet.

8) I don't think that's easy to answer. So, provided you love each other (otherwise obviously not), I'd say there are cases I would and cases I would not. I think it's more important to consider the stage you are in life for that moment. In my young years not. But if there would be a case where you both love each other and you'd think of moving in together and both of you definitely want that, I could imagine that, as far as I can life my life as I wanted to where I live right now. Meaning I could continue the same job, find some friends, just... Feel good, you know? As long as it's healthy, everything is possible. Otherwise it'd be good to consider long distance, but that's very hard, so I don't know whether ai could stick with that in every situation.

9) No. I would not do that, because love is too personal. It's a too powerful feeling to be spoken about by people who are not involved. I've always hated those games where people are like: truth or dare? And then you get asked some stuff like " Who's your crush?" And two days later everyone knows about it. I just think it's real enough when it comes to you, the way it's supposed to. The second you have to force even a little bit, you change everything.

10) New Question: What's your love language?

Mine: physical touch. I'm just that kind of person I love to feel love with long hugs, cuddling while watching a movie, kissing and all that stuff. Totally love that.

I kind of like being single and I haven't met any guy that has changed that. Too much for my young age haha.

My love language is talking and giving compliments and showing the person I think about them and giving gifts too.

I would love to stay single or not it really depends on who I'm loosing my singleness too. I don;t mind staying single though

It depends where the date is supposed to be. A fancy restaurant for the first date? I might not even show up. But a picnic or something simple like that is fine.

I don't know, it's difficult for me to recognize my feelings.In my mind, I either like you or I don't, and there's only three levels to each.

The first level is acquaintance; at that stage it's more instinct and first impressions than anything, so it barely counts and it's easy to switch between the positive and the negative side.

Then when I know the person a bit better I actually make up my mind. At that point, even if I like you you can still get downgraded(I'm not the most trusting person, who gives a thousand chances to everyone. Hurt me and you're done).

And lastly, it's either 'I like you'(not necessarily romantic and kind of rare, only my family is at that level right now), or 'Get away. Now.'(but it's almost impossible to get there, only two people in my whole life ever got to that level of dislike)

Absolutely not.

I'm not sure about that. I like romance but I don't think I would initiate it, so I guess not.

That would be kind of rude to my best friend, it would put them in a bad situation(either let me down or break someone else's trust by telling a secret about them...). I wouldn't do that.

Since I'm not a big fan of physical touch, if I hug someone it's definitely a display of affection, but since I don't like it can it count as a love language? I actually have no idea. It's probably a mix of acts of service, giving gifts, and spending time together.

I'm mostly waiting until I'm a bit older to see if my generation just sucks or if they just haven't realized the importance of lasting relationships yet. If people my age are still dating a new person each month once I'm 18, then I'll look for someone older who actually wants a lasting relationship instead of wasting my time. I'm also waiting until I know myself a bit better, because teenagers change quickly and often, so I don't want to get into a relationship and then have to break up because me or my partner are 'not what I'm looking for anymore'.

It's more complicated than that, but that's the best I can do to explain my thoughts with words that make sense(my thoughts are closer to feelings and sensations than words, there isn't really words attached to them so I can't always explain things well)

Yes many people around our age take relationships as a joke and pass time. They treat relationships like a 30 day free trial rather than a subscription. They will date someone based on physical attraction or after two conversations. I haven’t seen many out here actually wanting to meet their future spouse.

yess that's why I don't mind being single. I don't put labels on any of my relationships. I think it would be best to just stay friends with someone because that is the foundation of a relationship. I feel like with friends you know a lot more about them than a BF or gf. I also think the "you're not my type" thing is so stupid. If you like someone then it doesn't matter if they are blonde, brunette, has a big behind or a flat. You are just gonna like that person. That is why with my friend she is always chasing after boys and instead of focusing on herself she just chases these boys and ends up alone. I tell her there is more than just a boy to life. Focus on your dreams and the boy will come.

So here are my answers:

1️⃣ Do you like more to be single or have a relationship?

Now single bc even if you are maybe ready to have a relationship i would still feel nervous and also not really comfortable. So maybe now is a lot easier bc NOBODY expects things from you and you dont have to think what you must say and do. But it is maybe also nice to have a relationship but only if it is really somebody that you love!! Sometimes i feel like everybody has a relationship already at least once and maybe ppl think that it is weird if you dont want that yet fully. But i dont want that you feel super stressy about that and that you get a bf only because others have that.

2️⃣ Did you have a relationship and if yes did you like it or not?

No not yet.

3️⃣ If you go on a date are you super nervous?

I think i die. Now already if for example smb on school asks if you want maybe to hang out after school or maybe do something together i already feel that way bc you dont expect it and they suddenly ask that. And i feel like a tomato that explode in a tomato soup.

4️⃣ What person do you like?

Maybe a person that is more calm and makes you feel comfortable and secure. And that he does not act super different when he is with his friends

5️⃣ Do you have a mega crush now?

No not mega or much.

6️⃣ Are you super romantic or not at all?

I think maybe yes if you feel comfortable and also safe. And maybe it does not have to be like super big things but like small things that you for example hold hands together and be at a super romantic place and it is like from you together always. And like making small notes for each other and you hide it or some things i saw in series that i think are super nice and special. That would be really nice!!!

7️⃣ Did you get a secret love card before or maybe a secret note?

Yes on last Valentine's Day.

8️⃣ Would you go to another country to live if you love a person a lot?

I dont think that i could leave my family and friends. Like for example if my parents get older i also want to take care for them and not just be away to have only a separate life. That would really make me feel not good at all.

9️⃣ Would you ask your best friend to find out if another person maybe loves you if you are not sure?

Yes. But my best friend at school is super different from me and she is very strong and not shy at all and she thinks a lot of things are funny if for example she thinks that somebody has a crush on me she always is like mega detective and she tries to already find things out and tells me or jokes little bit abt it. People say we are like duo penotti bc we are super different in almost everything and i we tell each other a lot abt everything too. And that is really special.

You have good answers and with number 1, I definitely agree. Also dealing with another person's feelings at a young age can be a lot especially if you don't fully understand yourself and love yourself. How can you give love to another when you don't even love yourself? I think that is what the teenage years are for. Figuring out who you are and what you want in life and once you have figured this out then you can pursue others based on what you want in life.

Also, I don't really believe in dating. I just think it's unnecessary because I feel that people just use it to get what they want (if you know what I mean) and leave. It's not taken seriously.

And for @mayuuram 's question I think my answer would be the freedom. Crushes come and go and to be able to have a tiny crush once in a while is really fun. To have friends and not worry about if I'm crossing my partner or overstepping boundaries or making him sad or anything. (These are all things you should care about in a relationship)

And for @Yue_ 's question I think that the guy should definitely ask for the date and the girl should at least make it known she is interested but there is no harm in the girl asking every once in a while.
