Love might be a strong word because I think it requires time spent together, being physical with the other person (just holding hands, looking at eachother in the eyes, kissing...), talking, doing daily activities... Maybe a crush, a flirt, a strong bond even... But not love. If you plan to see the other person it can become love afterwards but I think that you need to meet, just to see if the things you know and the things you pictured match.

My story: last august, an attempt was made to scam me online via Instagram, later Telegram through so called 'Dating fraud'. Fortunately I only have lost a giftcard of 102,50 euro but I could have been caught for a lot of more money. I'll spare you further details. I still can get emotional about it. Filed a report with the police, my bank had already informed me about fraudulent activities, and called victim support here in the Netherlands.
So I've become much more cautious about online romance these days.
Even I have deleted my accounts on Telegram and Instagram.
