In short... me and... well, a friend want to meet. She's 14. It's an hour and a half to get to us now. But her parents won't let her go... they're afraid she'll be stolen. ๐ฎโ๐จ
Mom is unlikely to let me go anywhere, but she can take me๐
But she won't be released without a reason. What should we do? We really want to meet ๐ฅบ we're in the villages.

Perhaps arrange a way for the parents to talk? Like phone call and or video call and assure someone can attend with her to be safe and meet in a public place. ๐ Please have fun and enjoy

If this is about an online friend, her parents are absolutely right for not letting her go. Really, you never really know if someone's being honest online and safety always comes first.
@EMITHEEstoneheart A phone call isn't the best idea, as people can use something to change their voices. What you say about an adult being present is actually always the best idea for meeting an online friend when you're underaged; that goes for both children having an adult with them; you shouldn't rely on the parent of an online friend.

simply just ask your parent to accompany you, either you both meet at park or mall (where both of you still under parental supervision but also, both of u still have space to move and talk without them eavesdrop)
i mean you guys still underage, and people these days are getting crazier over minors, so your parents reason is so based

Yes, I agree. But they don't let her in with me, and nowhere at all.
When I was little, thirteen-year-old girls played with dolls and thirteen-year-old boys played with toy cars. Why do you have such a desire to grow up now? Life is hard, short, and sometimes cruel. Why do you want to shorten childhood and adolescence? Talk about love at thirteen? I never thought of that. Times have changed. For better or worse? Posterity will decide.
