Hello everybody!!! 🙋‍♀️😊 Maybe it is nice to make a forum abt SHOPPING bc it is almost Christmas and in my country also Sinterklaas!!! And yesterday in China was Singles Day and ppl often buy a lot of stuff on this day if you want to treat yourself nice!!! 😛 😛

1. Secondhands, cuz my style is different from most modern shops. Also internet shops, cuz there often are a lot of pretty things that are sometimes easy to find

2. Clothes and collectible ponies

3. I bought 20 little presents for my mother, I'm making advent calendar for her

4. I always save for tattoo or for some expensive pony to gift myself on celebrations

5. Haha yes, mostly everything. Clothes, furniture (not many fr), accessories, ponies are also secondhand.

6. Some vintage or DIY.

7. I always buy books. I have my own library and I love it. Everything that someone liked I buy, so not all books in my library I like. Except I hate dark romance and romance at all

8. Yes, sure. For employees it is very bad I think, but on the other hand they choose this days and don't overwork. Maybe even get more money

9. Funny tights or ties, some ponies and books

1️⃣Hmm. I don't know. From grocery stores in our country it's "Auchan". And so I adore big shopping centers 😇🛒.

2️⃣ practically everything) but if to choose between online and offline, then I will choose to buy in a normal store 🐾🐾🐾😁😁

3️⃣ I right now already buy gifts for New Year, preparing for 4 months, money I save 😅😅😅💵💵💵. some kind of big shopping center 🏬❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹.

I liked that you said socks for the Christmas list!!! 😛 😛 That is a really good tip bc we have to make lists with our class for Sinterklaas BEFORE Christmas and it can only be small gifts. So that is a nice icea!! ANDDD i forgot about navigation school! Can you do that in the place in Canada where you live now? 🙄🙄

Yes, there's navigation schools in Canada. But the one I want to go to is three hours away from my current home, so I'll have to live in the school's dorms while I study there.

That is nice tradition but i would be super broke too after it!!! 😛 😛 But we also celebrate Sinterklaas and in December are also birthdays so that is a lot!!!! 😬🙄🙄🙄 Btw why are so many people that have birthdays in November and December? Yes, there's navigation schools in Canada. But the one I want to go to is three hours away from my current home, so I'll have to live in the school's dorms while I study there.

I like Auchan, it’s my favorite supermarket brand ! They have much more choices than the others in my opinion.

The things I genuinely can’t find on real stores or that are too expensive in material stores.

Not really anything, you gotta save up to be safe !

Yes, like gifts or things I like, because even if it is second hand, it is in perfect state and it’s much cheaper than buying it new.

Yes I do, usually it’s about history, but it’s also about mystery stories (Agatha Christie is an amazing author)

Not all of them unfortunately. I understand because the employees and sellers sure need to rest, but out of the week end it’s harder to get to the store because you’re busy as well.

I don’t really have any gift I want since I can get it myself 😅 what really matters about a gift is the gesture in itself from the person that offers you something and touches deep in the heart, but also the surprise you feel

Nah

I tend to avoid shops, ahah.

2️⃣ For what kind of things do you prefer shopping online?

Nothing, really. Like real ones, I tend to avoid online shops and I buy almost nothing unless I need it. The notable exception would go for plane tickets, and sometimes a video game or two, but the process itself is more painful than pleasing to me (even if I find rewarding to get something """cheaper""").

chocolate and a small book; but I will get a fountain pen, if I find a nice one.

Not really. I'm not used to these things at all... I bought a ffew second hand clothes, but I think new is better in most cases...
I like free book boxes though.

More and more. I don't really like it... If some find it nice to have the opportunity to do shopping on Sunday, I find it to break the essence of Sunday; rest and enjoy your family/other activities.

Sorryyy i forgot to answer you @Smile11!! I was bit too fast in typing!!! 😛 😛 Normally we dont buy books online and also not really in the store. But i can explain bc at some train stations and also in other places like the library you have a closet and you can take books for free but you can also put books that you finished there so others can read them. And i think that is really nice bc you dont have to spend a LOTTT of money and you can share books that you dont need anymore and others can take them that way for free.

BUTTT if there is a really special book that i like a lot i keep it or ask it for example with my birthday or christmas. But i dont have a lot of space in my room and our house is not really big so we dont really have a lot of space. But special books you can always keep if there are not too many.

I believe diogenes would be a much better pick. I'm really not an avid reader and don't feel much love for this item.

It was an illustrated book about the 1001 nights. Honnestly, I took it more for the pictures, but the content is interesting. I still prefer reading other kind of books though (last one I got now is the Epic of Gilgamesh, both the Ninivite and ancient version with notes).
