1️⃣ Do you have a tattoo or piercing? And if yes: what kind and do you want more?

2️⃣ If not: do you want it and if yes what kind?

3️⃣ Does it hurt to get a tattoo? Or are you afraid that it hurts?

4️⃣ What do your parents or if you have a relationship your partner think of tattoos and piercing? What would you do if your partner gets a tattoo with your name as a surprise?

1. no tatoo but earrings (one hole each ear (regular holes)) i wish for a nose pircing like this:

I don't want a piercing because it feels like it will catch on my clothes and rip off half of my face. Scary. I've already told you everything about the tattoo. My mom doesn't mind piercings, tattoos, tunnels in her ears, the main thing is not to dye my hair or make gel polish. I still didn't understand what her logic is) And by the way, my ex gf at 16 was almost completely clogged with tattoos, and the ex-bf was against it. That's why he's an ex

And Stasyyy @PinkiePie the way you describe like you rip for example your face if a piercing gets stuck in your clothes that made me white like a ghost. 👻😧 That must be really scary. I didnt think about it like that but i think that piercings would not look nice on me anyway. And i think the same about tattoos for me, but as i said i think for others like you and Martiii @martutuni it is a very good match. So i think for tattoos and also piercings: it REALLY depends for every person. And if i would think differently and get a tattoo or piercing that my dad would get a HEART ATTACK!!!!! And my mom will ask if i need to speak with a doctor. Bc they are super traditional but i dont think they have to be worried a lot!!!! 😛 😛

I have a nose piercing like @Esma-Nur wants and would love to get the one on my belly. I have 6 tattoos:

The 1st was a snake on my chest, wrong choice of place for a first tattoo! lol. It’s a spiritual being, my chinese horoscope animal and my Hogwarts house (go Slytherin! 💚)

2nd was a rose on my ribs, I got it with my best friend We grew up together and wanted something to tie us, so there’s that

3rd was the cat tattoo you can see on my pfp, he was Draco, my first kitty. He died on 2019 and I miss him very much. So that’s him watching me and my kitties from the moon

4th was my spiritual animal and my favorite character from Le Petite Prince: a fox!

5th is my sig’s constelation, Virgo. I got it done by my sister’s ex lol he was learning how to tattoo and I cared about him a lot so I let him do his thing, I wasn’t so happy about it but it reminds me of a person who was kind to me. And I got to help him learn so it’s fine🙂)

6th and last is one of my favorites: Eren from Attack on Titan 💗 If someone hasn’t yet watched that anime I am PLEADING for you to do so. Best plot ever.

My parents are okay with my tattoos, dad doesn’t care and mom used to be worried about us getting too many (6 is nothing compared to the rest of the people!) but she’s fine now.

I wouldn’t care either way if my partner thought basly of tattoos, he can love me with them or not have me lol

But yes thats that!!

Oh and the one that hurt the most was the cat on my arm. Now it was covered by some other tattooer but below this one, a bad tattooer made the needle go too deep and it hurt too much!

It seems that "carrying ink" is much more common in South America than in e.g. Europe. Of course tattoo studios can be found all over the globe and Europe is not an exception. But the number of tattoos and their visibility per individual seem to be taken to a higher level in at least parts of countries which we have visited in South America. @martutuni do you think that this is an accurate observation as regards Argentina?

Last summer in the magnificent Lençóis Maranhenses area in Brazil we even shared a ferry from the small beach town Atins to Barreirinhas with a heavily inked granny and her family. Our two daughters were impressed!

You almost got it right: Tatoos are NOT allowed and Earrings and nosepircings are allowed BUT nothing more and nothing much and it depends on the gender rn i am just talking about females and the woman herself should say yes I want it and shouldnt be forced =) I like my ear pircings but i wish i had that nose pircing too =)

1️⃣ I do have both piercings and tattoos!

For piercings I have a helix, a conch and a regular lobe on my left ear.

On my right ear I have a rook, a flat, a lobe and an upper lobe

As most people are probably not familiar with these terms, here is a graphic illustration of different ear piercing types:

I also have 3 tattoos:
a star🌟 on my left wrist, a moon🌙 on my right ankle and the quote "To the stars who listen" with a star🌟 in the middle on my left thigh

2️⃣ I'd love to get more piercings and tattoos in the future but I don't want to be covered up in them. I love that my tattoos and piercings are really decent and I'd like to stick with that

3️⃣ For me personally, my tattoos did not hurt but I also have to say, that my tattoos are really tiny. Only the quote on my thigh is a bit bigger but that didn't hurt either. Sometimes it pinched a bit but it wasn't painful at all but I also think it is important to say that everyone has a different perception of pain.
My piercings on the other hand were definitely hurtful😖

4️⃣ My parents would never get a piercing or a tattoo themselves but they don't mind that I have some. I have never liked the idea of getting the name of a partner getting tattooed tho. There's always a risk that the relationship might not last and then you're stuck with it. Everyone should decide this for themselves tho

And when you wrote about the ear piercings i was like 😵‍💫😵‍💫 bc i had NO idea what you meant but the picture helped a LOTTT!! 😛 For me ear rings did not really hurt but piercings hurt a lot more? One of my friends at school had infected ears where they shot the ear ring and it got super red and sore. 😨😦

Hello, I grew up in a time, where only prisoners have had tattoos 😂, so I don‘t have a tattoo, because I never was to jail🤣🤣🤣! And I don‘t like tattoos and piercings!

I dont' have any tattoo nor do I have a piercing and even tend to find some of them grotesque and repulsive. I prefer inconspicuous tattoos, or the ones that are cultural, used to hide a scar, etc. than the "self expression" trend with people using their body as a canva that age terribly.
The granny @Savi2024 has seen sounds cool though.

Thank you very much everybody!! 🙏🙏 I am not surprised that some people really like tattoos and others not. It is i think the same like for example if you like a clothing style, or certain art in a museum or what kind of music you like. And everybody has a different taste what they like. 🙂 The only thing that was new for me is that a tattoo may not be alowed for religion. What @Esma-Nur and @Fleurke wrote i did not know yet.

For people who do like tattoos i like that they have a special meaning for that person. And you carry that with you. I have the same with a necklace that i have that i got from somebody who is very important to me. But i dont wear it bc i am afraid that i will loose it. 😬😬
