Thank you! 😁 To me, if you are looking for masterpieces and pieces of history, both Egyptian Museum of Turin and Uffizi in Florence are great to visit. But you have to consider all the negative aspects that i wrote in the last message, that make those visits very, very annoying.

Today is Inspire your Heart with Art Day!!! I had no idea that there was a day like that but i just saw it online and i think it is really nice!!!

And for who visits this forum: do you know who made this painting of the bridge??? 😛 😛

And if you dont know who do you GUESS? 🙂 And if others already said the answer did you know it too?

I did not really go to museums at all lately but it was also really busy even during the vacation. But i hope maybe later if it is not so busy anymore!!!!! 😊😊🥰

Hi Yue,

Claude Monet made this painting.

I had to look for the title. It is "The Waterlily Pond with the Japanese Bridge"
It is one of a series. I like the paintings of his garden.

Have a beautiful day
and thank you for inspiring
Christine

È la creazione di Adamo, disegnato da Michelangelo Buonarroti. Sì trova nella Cappella Sistina nello stato della Città del Vaticano

Michelangelo was a famous and wonderful artist

Wowww @Tesssaaaaa they are really cool!!! I already knew that u can draw really well bc i saw already earlier on ur profile!!! 😛 😛 Maybe it is a nice idea that u for example scan or make photo of it and u can use some u like most to make postcards or mini cards and u can use them!!! 😊😊😇

ANDDDD @lucasar92 and @The_Owl and i think also @Fleurke were right BUTTTTTTT one question still!!! 😛 😛 Why are the fingers like that on the painting?? So the left is DIFFERENT than the right hand but why?? Bc we heard that it has a special meaning too!!! I show the painting again and im curious if anybody knows it!!!

Tbh i didnt know it myself until the teacher said it and i think almost nobody can guess it. But maybe smb here knows it already!!! 😃

Michelangelo had initially depicted the fingers of God and Adam touching, but the cardinals insisted on a separation. For them, it wasn’t merely about aesthetics; it was a profound philosophical statement.

God’s finger, they decreed, must always strive to its utmost extent, an eternal reach towards humanity. However, Adam’s finger should curl back slightly, representing the essence of human free will. For in the pursuit of the divine, it is the individual’s choice – the conscious extension of one’s spirit – that defines the journey toward enlightenment.

That's far beyond being a masterpiece dressed by aesthetics only.

What @diogenes_cask and @lucasar92 wrote is correct both!!!!! So diogenes already described the most and tbh i didnt know abt the cardinals and that they changed it!!! 🙄🙄

So what was explained in our class is that if you look at the full painting you can see that the hand is also like the rest of God on the right (so not only the hand but the WHOLE of God that he tries to reach Adam)!!! Here is the full painting:

And it is true that ppl should also make an effort like God to reach out!!! But some are super relaxed like Adam looks and they dont make really an effort or they just to a bit but not in the same way as God does it. So every person should decide if you make your best effort or less or not at all. 🙂

If others like it i can post more things that we get in our class and maybe others will ❤️ it too. 😊😊

awesome

Hellooo everybody!! 😊😇 I have a very short question:

➡️ If you go to a museum and there are THOUSANDSSS of artworks, how long do you normally look at every single artwork?

I am very curious what ppl say honestly as answer without yet looking below. The reason why i ask the question is that today it is Slow Art Day. So normally ppl spend abt 30 seconds to look at one painting or an artwork. But sometimes it is better to take a LOTTT more time and that u see everything and LOTTTSS of details much better. Or that u just keep the feeling what u feel when looking at it.

Hopefully some ppl will answer super honest how much time they look normally per artwork and if it is more or less than 30 seconds. Thnxxx very much for everybody who answers!!! 🙏❤️🙏

I love art so much, observing it, searching for the story behind it, the deep meaning, the colors people chose, the material that was selected, the record it hangs on, I really love art with flowers, paintings of flowers in a vase,I also love people's faces and farms in paintings

Hi Yue,

when I go to a museum I prepare for it at home.
I look where the most interest is for me.

In the museum I normally go straight to my favorite topic
and look which art work catches me most.
Then I can sit or stand there for more than half an hour.
Even watching other visitors how they look at the works
is interesting for me and last but not least I percieve
the atmoshere of the museum, the specific room and
try to percieve the time and circumstances which lead
to the making of the art work.

To experience the Exhibitions of Michael here on PPG
was and is very "enlightning" to me.

Hiiii @Fleurke and Christine @H_E_A_R_T!! 😊😊 I like how u describe how u watch EVERYTHING abt the art in the museum. For me i normally want to watch what i like and sometimes i dont know really WHY i like it and sometimes i know it. And if my mom does not rush it a lot i like some time so u feel calm and that you think abt not too many other things and just watch what u like and maybe that u try think why you do like it. 🙂

ANDDDD today it is WORLD ART DAY 2026!!!!!

Can i ask these questions for who wants to answer:

➡️ When was the last time you went to a museum?

➡️ What kind of art do u like now the most?

➡️ Which artist would you want to meet in real life (can also be an artist who is not alive anymore)?

Thank you very much who likes to answer!!! 🙏🙏😊🥰
