  Scotland....

  This British Island has been a place steeped in legend for 7,000 years. Anyone who has ever walked through this region will surely have felt it. The light there is strangely mystical and, without a doubt, unique. It is, in fact, so strange that almost every photograph looks as though it has been altered by
  filters and tricks. Yet — that is not necessary at all. Nature and its play of colours are breathtaking
  on the island even without all that.

  Between 2009 and 2011, I was able to gain some experience there. I was able to experience my first
  trips there with my partner at the time. She took me there; she was of noble descent herself, so I was
  also allowed to enter castles and palaces that remain closed to the public.

  
  More than these relics, some of which are over 1,000 years old, it was the silence of nature that
  fascinated me. There is hardly anything that moved me more. I naturally took photographs on
  these trips and would now like to share some of these images. Perhaps they might appeal to one
  or two of you...?
