📸️ not really art but i have a trying day at 'Dagbesteding' (adapted work setting) in the creative field and this is my 1st piece i made
That is really cool @Ilexforest!! 🏆🥇 Later i will update the list in the first post of arts in this forum that we discussed and i will put your name also there!!! So we have for example Picasso and Hieronymus Bosch and Gustav Klimt and you!! 🙂 I will make a separate group of museum art and art from PPG members. 🙂
And i am curious if maybe somebody knows this question. WHO made these art works and also do you like it 😊😊
Im Englisch: sorry i hope that it was correct bc it is the first time that i write in German on the forum. I have this school year my first year German. So i hope i did not make 9817 mistakes in the above!!! 😛 And danke sehr that you write in this forum @AiLeEn92!! 🙏🙏
I did not know the name of the painter BUTTT i saw pictures of the painting before and i really like it too. What do you like about it @Emmiiii_17_11
One thing that i really liked are the colours that he chose. Bc they are softer colours also the hair of the ones with red hair. But still the hair bc it is red gives it something special for the painting. And i think he did that with purpose bc all three have red hair and it is not a coincidence i think. 🙂
I really like „the birth of venus“ by botticelli. I think it‘s really beautiful.

That's pure Renaissance art. In this era, aiming to create a synthesis that brings together Pagan beliefs and Christianity, was a common practice among the artists. Sandro Botticelli created the work by taking inspiration from Angelo Poliziano's famous poem "Il regno di Venere." The painting The Birth of Venus has a very significant place in Western art in terms of iconography since it's not a painting only but an artful stage for a complete story.
Venus has a modest stance with body lines that reflect the beauty of the period. She is called the "moral Venus" in classical sculpture. In this painting, Venus covers her breasts with her hands and her genitals with her hair.
In the left corner of the work, Zephyros and Chloris, representing the wind, blow over the grey waters and push forward the delicate-edged seashell on which Venus sails. At the same time, roses, the symbol of Venus, are being thrown at her.
Horai appears on the right side of the painting to dress Venus as she approaches the shore. Horai is the goddess who symbolizes the seasons in Latin mythology. In this painting, the clothing she wears is decorated with spring flowers and we can understand that it represents spring.
Horai has a garland around her neck representing Venus. On his body is a belt of roses, also symbol of Venus.
The dominance of the divine golden light is present throughout the painting, reflecting on the leaves of the orange trees and plants on the right side of the work, spreading throughout the work, starting from the lines of the seashell and the folds of the dresses. All in all, spectacular piece of art. I like it.
On the other hand, When it comes to drawing feet in Botticelli’s works, whether it’s the main or supporting character, a problem arises. The reason for this is a matter of debate and still a mystery. his famous paintings “Primavera” and “The Birth of Venus”, we come across foot figures that were hastily drawn at the last moment.
Thank you very much @diogenes_cask!! 🙏🙏 I like a lot what you wrote bc there is a lot of information!! If you look in a museum normally there is only a card with the name of the painter and the painting. And that is it. So we just look and think what we like or not. But you tell the whole story!!
What you said about Pagan that is not the same as atheist right. But like what people believed that was different than Christians and Muslims for example. Have you seen the painting in real @diogenes_cask? 🙄
And with the feet i only saw it bc you posted 2 pictures or i would not really see it. But why did he not paint normal feet?

Yes, I've seen the painting in real. Most probably he felt limited with realism and wanted to add some elements of decorativism. I'm sharing another famous painting from Neoclassical artist Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres. The Portrait of Comtesse d'Haussonville. But there is some epic failure in the painting. Could you find it?

Thanksss @diogenes_cask!!! That was really funny as challenge and i think there is not ONE epic failure but maybe FIVE!! 😛 Ok i looked really well and i think these things are wrong in the painting:
1️⃣ Her lower arm looks weird with the shape.
2️⃣ The wrong shoulder looks higher in the mirror.
3️⃣ The red hair clip is different from how she wears it and in the mirror.
4️⃣ Her finger is too much in the front at the middle of her neck so i think you should not see it in the mirror.
5️⃣ And i am not sure but i looked at the painting again and maybe there is one more mistake. The thing in the top on the left is going to the outside so how can you see it in the mirror?
I hope that i got it right!! 🙂 I have heard before about Neoclassical but i have to look up what that style means and i dont know the painter. It is very precise so you can see a lot of detail and it is not like more vague like from Monet which i like a lot (we saw it in the Louvre) or the puzzle like from Picasso above.
this paint a really like it is from my grandmother who died and now this paint is in the house of my father. I always liked it because when i was little i like the flowers and the colours from it
