Musk is certainly the smartest person of the Trump’s team. During his career, he had many brilliant visionary ideas that made his fortune. May be buying Tweeter to make X was not his better idea but that could be the only mistake of his career. He could be an asset in Trump's game and has surely the competence for his future responsibility as Minister of “Government Efficiency”. He has a very different profile among all these persons chosen first for their extreme opinions and their submission to the next president. Some can only fear that his businessman side will harm an objective management of his new responsibilities. He promised to reduce public spending by 30%, which seems incredible. To achieve such a result, it will surely be necessary to take very dramatic decisions. He already did that with his societies to make them competitive. Mass layoffs of civil servants, cuts in subsidies and deregulation will be his method. I don’t think he is for war , it’s too bad for his business.
To me, Musk is a scammer who built his fortune on the money of subsidies and the work on his subordinates. SpaceX is a notable success and buying twitter seems to be nice for having a little bit less of censorship on the mainstream internet, but the hyperloop was a laughable scam that everybody seems to forget about.
Now, I find funny that so many people find him amazing and welcome his participation to a government while claiming to be so much inlove with democracy when he is borderline enslaving his workers and took so many taxpayer money in his pocket.
Hopefully will it be find for US, but it's not much of my problem.

Censorship of mainstream...Can you give an example what you mean?

I figure they mean it is possible now to express your opinion without being censored. At least, X did become less censoring in that way.
What’s good about that is that freedom of speech doesn’t go hand-by-hand with false information, which is why community notes exist, curated by experts and reliable sources.

Ok, thank you for explaining.
But I dont have an idea where my opinion is going to be censored. I can make websites with the biggest bullshit on it...no censoring! I can scream out my opinion on any street...no censoring. I can say everywhere I want my opinion even it is a complete lie...no censoring. So where is the censoring? I dont see anything like this. Of course, I just can say that about my country...

You do are censored on websites like Instagram or Facebook, I’ve had comments removed because I used minor insults or mocked someone. In other socials, people can flag your content and it is taken down immediately because ‘too many people didn’t like what you said’.
Even on TikTok you need to censor some words or your videos are taken down. Those are the “mainstream socials” that have major censorship troubles and hence it’s appreciated that X provides both a “safe space” for freedom of speech and free of fallacies.

I can understand that, thanks for the explanation! But I don't see any censorship there. When I sign up for Facebook, TikTok, Insta or anything else, I sign a contract with them. Among other things, each of these contracts states that posts will be deleted if I don't comply with the company's requirements. In my opinion, this has nothing to do with censorship. These are simply the rules that have not been adhered to.
I actually only associate the term censorship with state institutions. In other words, that an opinion is censored. And I don't experience any censorship here.
And to say it straight away: fascism, disinformation, homophobia, anti-Semitism IS NOT AN OPINION!

This is why we’re not talking about state censorship such as North Korea’s kind of censorship, but mainstream social media censorship. You do sign up following a contract, but it gets ridiculously limited sometimes. And being these the main ways to communicate ideas worldwide (so mainstream), it’s hard to believe they don’t play an important role on what’s being allowed to be communicated or put in the table to discuss.
One can discuss the topics you listed, hopefully respectfully, and form a debate. Saying it is not an option, although not forced and obviously not an impediment, does is an attempt to dictate what’s acceptable to discuss or not. Of course, since it’s not coming from a party in power, it doesn’t imply any restriction. But it does goes off to show how different generations are wired and set to discuss, which is highly interesting to me.

See? How You define fascism, homophobia, antisemitism? People are called antisemites for criticizing Israel. Called homophobic or fascist for being against things like using pronouns or saying that there are only male/female.
These words lost it's meaning when people started to accuse everyone so easily.
When You are limiting speech freedom by vague words, who will be banned or censored depends of who manage the site/media. You say You never got censored - probably because You have "proper" worldview and You never say anything against mainstream.

Totally agree. It is so important to think critically about the system we are being functional to. Not defying the now popular, mainstream opinion will, in fact, put you in a privileged position. You’re being functional to the current agenda.
Edit to add: everyone is entitled to their own opinion. To me, it’s important to thoroughly figure out if my opinion is based on curated and narrowed information, or the raw truth from which I can form my final thoughts.

This is a very Marxist point of view: have you considered the success of his companies stemmed from his ideas, close involvement in engineering strategies, and the person he represents? Being Elon Musk as the CEO magically gives a massive boost to his companies because... well, it's Elon Musk. I'm sure you could individually praise every solder in the Napoleonic era, but ultimately dismissing Napoleon himself would be very questionable.
As for taxes, he doesn't personally pocket taxpayers money. However he has personally paid over 10B in taxes. Yes, he's a tough man to work for: he's extremely demanding and I personally wouldn't want to work for him. But I'm glad he exists and some like minded people can team up with him to lead the world with innovations. Same thing with Apple circa 2006 with Steve Jobs (even though I despise him, they share similarities)
