Where exactly? Except Poland and Kaliningrad borders. And since when? So you don't like that Poland is in NATO. We should be also attacked?
Oxiu, how would you like if Russia will take up the Baltic states, Romania and then it would pose this question - why don't you like it? Because Poland so dangerous. The closer you come, the more dangerous it gets. Isn't it logical? But again, why? Are we going to look on that like that? Isn't it better to think on it differently? Why not to have good relationship? What's the problem? I don't see any problems. Why concentrat on something terrible? Again, is you government is going to suck the blood of Russian children? Why we are thinking only in this direction? Why not change attitude?
I want live in peace with everyone. And you?
We were always endangered by Russia, so I will safer in NATO. You were in better position before war, and you had advantage with germans over Poland, Ukraine, and Baltic countries. Now you lost it.
For me, the fact that Russia was growing before war, thanks to UE willing to cooperate with Russia, is enough argument to say, that Russia wasn't threatened by "West". And NATO is danger for you only if you are going to make wars.
Oxiu, I can assure you, Russia had never desire to take a bit of Ukrainian soil. And then this "revolution" in 2014, if you can call it revolution. Even Crimea never was a desired place of land for Russia. But situation come to such point. It's not Russian choice. To some degree West pushed Russia to act. Otherwise it would be even more terrible. We can't afford death of thousands of people of our own kind. It would be inhuman and treacherous. But it would happen. So, whatever you say, ask people who live in Crimea. They will tell you who are, or what they are Ukrainian government. It's the same government which was under NAZI occupation. Those people who killed your Polish population as animals. And to stand now for this government, it's absine.
No, people responsible for crimes of wwII are now under ground, or soon will be, and are old as hell now. You are sick and shortsighted if you want revenge so much.
And what with nazi? Who is their lider and what bad they did recently? Give me some details. How many of them? And what Russia is going to do with them? How will find them?
It's a question! Will Russian government take care of them or not, somebody has to take care of it. I hope they will pay for what they have done. And it's a problem. I hope that Ukraine will be divided some how. Some part of Ukraine might come to your state. But again, then it will be your problem. You will have to deal with them. You will decide what to do with them. And again, I don't have any problems with Ukrainians, but the government.
Russia is the divisive one for not trusting NATO as a world order and associating every member as a NAZI. Constantly flying "Bear" bombers over national borders in the early 21st century.
Oxiu, and DWethers, why we can't settle all these things in civilized manner? What is the problem? Why we are not talking? Do you have the other way of doing things? Which is? Fighting to the end? What kind of end? Just tell me, what kind of end do you see? Do you dream that Russia will give up Donbass, Crimea and will say - I am sorry, I give up, now we can be friends again? What else do you want that Russia will do? Just be serious. It's not the topic to discuss. The things already done! It's too late to do the right things now. What we can do now? You started it all. So, don't try to put a blame on Russia.
Euro is plummeting, Russia is getting more money for now, and China as well despite its economy is not going so well apparently (but I didn't dig much into it)Why all these prejudice against China? You can set the same question - why so many people against Russia? Interests of the West! West is loosing an economical competition. What can you do? You'll try anything you can to make any harm economical, political damage to the opponent. Why not? This is a hybrid war against the opponents. By the way, Germany is victim of this war. And Europe too.And how is west losing the economical competition? Have You some data for it? Tell me.
Why people are against Russia? You really don't know?
Answer: mostly because you attacked a country, doing war crimes, and are threatening with atom bomb to others. And people usually sympathize with victims.

Lianshen, its definitely not enough to say that west is losing eventual economic competition. Especially when You would compare more factors than just currency and things powered by war, what is probably temporary.
Of course it looks also different when country changes whole functioning on war trails. Like... When Adidas was kind of forced to produce military boots xD
I would wait for new year. From economy "experts" I hear that sanctions should show serious effects in next year. Eventually all of it will be lie, and it will turns out that sanctions doesn't work, or were only fake, and everything will lost the sense.

Not to be pessimistic, but that sounds like the bullshit we had for covid (notice how it has almost disappeared for a new trend). Aditionnaly, sanctions on Russia in the past only had a positive effect on Russia, making it more independent by producing things they once used to import. China, on its part, doesn't give much of a shit for they already have more or less evertyhign and a massive storage of raw materials, which they have been monitoring for a few years and that has led to shortages in many places, notably in techologies sectors, but also the car industry (hello Renault).

Of course effects on us too. Very unpleasant effects, more difficult living.
But now we have to adjust our industries, and Russia too. Why only for Russia it would have to be a "booster"? Now everyone in europe is trying to get new sources of energy. I don't want to say more than... How brainless someone must be, to doing this so late, when war happen or to make stupid green policy. Competent government should think about it all the time, but okay, I sadly don't expect high intellectual capabilities of European leaders. Okay, no offtop.
Europe is focusing on searching for new energy sources. Russia needs to find another source of electronics, money, and burgers, since they lost MCDonald too.
And the question is: who is in better position to lift and rebuild the industry in country? Who have more money for this, who have more modern ideas and "know-how", who have demography. UE doesn't sends people to fight on frontline, and doesn't redirect industry for war's need.
So, from that whole chaos and evilness we should also be more independent and at least in this get some profits. We should. We will see how will situation evolve of course.
Russia have China, but I don't know how enthusiastically and seriously the China is going to help Russia. And how much they can give them. Especially in long term, and after US embargo on semiconductors... Is the word, I think.
Oxiu, we were talking about it. Of course, sanctions have an affect on Russia too! It's clear. But sanctions affect the Western economy much more. Yes, and Covid 19 had some affect on it too. But there is a difference, Russia is rebuilding own economy. West is slowing down, losing a tempo. Russia is little by little trying to pick up a tempo. All Russian import is redirecting to the East. So, all this cheap gas, oil and other sources are going to the Eastern economies. Germany is victim here. These sanctions are hit Germany in the first place. So, The West in general feels it too. No matter what happen later, but West won't have such a good prices from Russia anymore. Except of the USA, they will sell own gas for Europe for a right price. And you can't deny it, that most off the people in Europe will feel the pain. The question is why? why all of these had to happen? Remember I said about Putin proposition to the West long time ago? "Let's build a free economic zone from Lisbon to Vladivostok!" West didn't take his proposition! Why? They had something on their mind. It was before Ukrainian revolution.

Lol. And why you think that only Russia can rebuild it's industry? Why other countries can't?
Oxiu, you know, there is a rise of economy and fall. The Western economy was on the rise, Russian economy after 1991 was going down and down. Why? Because Russians destroyed their own economy. Russia became dependent on the West economy. And it's true. But it is not like that any more. Did you hear what Ursula fon Derlein presently said? She said Russians are pooling out the microchips out of the washing machines and put them into rockets! Can you imaging the level of ignorance in Europe? They don't know what they are doing? It's scary! What I can say about Russian economy, it's becoming more independent. The Europe chose to go crazy way like Ukraine. And there is no logic in it. The Brexit, the crazy way of doing things will bring Europe to the disaster.

She said what military noticed, after ukraine side was able to check the wrecks of rockets. That you don't believe its true, doesn't mean it isn't.
And you still didn't answer, why only russia would be country that rebuilds own industry.
And who is ignorant? I don't know bigger ignorant on this forum than you, swimming in your own egocentrism and curved view of the world.
Why only for Russia it would have to be a "booster"?Because they have the lands, the raw materials and the will to, whereas our countries have the "will" to, and are just doing shit. For instance, the will in France is to develope new technologies ), but one of the strongest point in France is agriculture for there are very rich lands, and "produits du terroirs".
Competent government should think about it all the time, but okay, I sadly don't expect high intellectual capabilities of European leaders.I fully agree. Leaders are -normally- chosen in order to plan for us, but there is no hint that ours are planniong anything if not against us. Most of time, they are, especially on a EU level, taking the "hhomework" of some lobbies and taking the check that goes with. Russia and China, on the other side, showed some sort of plannification although far from being perfect, and some reactivity. This can be seen, for instance, with alternative to swift system or with storage of money/debts.
Europe is focusing on searching for new energy sources. Russia needs to find another source of electronics, money, and burgers, since they lost MCDonald too.Sources of material as well for Europe. For France especially, we just came back to the idea that closing functionnal nuclear plants was retarded and that we should open new ones (holy fuck, it's not like were labeled as retards and conspirasionists for saying that Fessenheim was a very nice nuclear plant).
who is in better position to lift and rebuild the industry in country?Well, China only has to avoid losing its industry, and Russia has to build it... Europe, on its part, lost the know-how by feeding a country like China for saving some costs. Yet, we would be in a not so bad position if it was only this, you also had to take in consideration that the US is also bloodsucking us from our talents and industries at the moment... So maybe Poland is in a better position to rebuild/keep its industry, but a country like France is kind of in a deep shit in my opinion.
UE doesn't sends people to fight on frontline, and doesn't redirect industry for war's need.True, but we have our few industrial that are making record benefits on our back. At the moment, a yellow jackets-like movement is emerging in France because of that, so we still have issues, but granted maybe that, with the time, Russia's "advantage" is plumettering at our benefit. We need to see if we can take this opportunity still...
So, from that whole chaos and evilness we should also be more independent and at least in this get some profits. We should. We will see how will situation evolve of course."We should".
Russia have China, but I don't know how enthusiastically and seriously the China is going to help Russia. And how much they can give them. Especially in long term, and after US embargo on semiconductors... Is the word, I think.China is probably not very enthusiastic with all the situation because the government there knows that they are not ready to confront the West yet. However, it"s matter of life or death for them, so USS sanctions on semiconductors will only push them like Russia to get more idnependents by developping semiconductors more and, I hope no, take action against Taiwan. Here again, the US is nourishing a fire that we absolutely don't need.
