On 13 October 2020, I harvested the last broccoli from the monastery garden for the year. But it wasn't very successful. In the photo, you can see chard in the upper left area.
Unfortunately, chard is not a very well-known vegetable here. I love it.

I hope that there is not a fight anymore about it because with a new baby it should only be a very good and happy time if the mom and the baby are healthy and good!! How is your niece now? π
Today is 13 October and this happened in the past:
1οΈβ£ On this day in 1943 Italy declared war on Nazi Germany. I was surprised to read that online because I thought Italy was fighting together with Germany in the second world war!! π Perhaps @Pennarossa2024 or @Simone724 do you know more about this?
2οΈβ£ In 1946 the constitution of the Fourth Republic was adopted in France in a referendum. I copied that from online but is the Fourth Republic the same as France now? Because France is now also a republic and it was not attacked anymore after the second world war. I hope that @Etienne, @Sabri_KC and @Lianshen maybe know about it.
3οΈβ£ A lot of people were born on this day. Maybe you know these people: Sacha Baron Cohen (1971), Jerry Rice (1962), Paul Simon (1941) and Margaret Thatcher (1925)

Yes I can read your mind on my laptop because I have a special app! π π
No, we have been under the 5th republic since 1958 if my memory serves me right π
But when is there a new republic every time because the only thing that changes is the president maybe? So you should have now like the 80th republic perhaps! ππ
And about Italy this is what @Pennarossa2024 sent me and it is very nice to read and understand it!! π So molto grazie Professore Lorenzo!! π§βππ§βπ
Italy had a dictator named Mussolini. He allied himself with Hitler and declared war on England, France, the United States and Russia. But Italy was unable to fight against the greatest powers in the world. Thus the war became a tragedy. At some point, the king decided to begin secret negotiations with the English and Americans. The king had Mussolini arrested and established a new government. Meanwhile the Americans and the English had invaded southern Italy. The king, to save the throne, made an alliance with the Americans and British. Hitler (who already hated our king) became very angry and had northern Italy invaded. Hitler freed Mussolini and created a fascist state in northern Italy. The king fled, leaving his army in disarray. There were almost two years of invasion with terrible crimes committed by the Nazi Germans, the fascist Italians but also by the English, Americans and French colonial troops. There was a civil war between Italians. Even today, Italians are divided over this terrible tragedy.

It's not when the president changes, it's when the regime changes. Currently the president is very powerful, whereas in the 4th republic the parliament held the most power. The republic was changed to fight inertia (simplified explanation, but that's the gist of it)
Do you still work at the monastery in the garden Marcus? And what do you do if the weather is not very good for garden work because it is too cold or it rains a lotttt?Yes I do. It`s a nice job.

What happened to your sister? Is she okay?
Sorry for the direct question, of course you don't have to say anything.

Ow that is good to know because i had no idea! π Which republic do you like the most? Now or from the past? In school we learn that the parliament in France is maybe stronger than in many other countries in Europe. In our country they discuss that maybe the government must give more information to the parliament because often they dont do that. And the parliament cannot check everything.
Today 10 year ago, for the first time the doctors cut of my sisters ear to see inside her Brain
That is terrible!! But cant they do in a different way the operation?? π
Yes I do. It`s a nice job.
But it is limited until the end of November.
Let's see what happens then...
I hope that you get a very nice other thing to do after November!! But your job is very nice because you can be outside a lot and people love what you do!!! π₯°π₯°
Today is 14 October and this happened in the past:
1οΈβ£ The Battle of Hastings happened on this day in 1066 and the king of England Harold II was defeated by the Norman army of William. And the Normans became the rulers of England.
2οΈβ£ In 2007 on this day the reality TV series Keeping Up with the Kardashians started with the first episode.
3οΈβ£ On this day in 1964 the winner for the Nobel Prize for Peace was made Martin Luther King, Jr. for his work for civil rights for all people in America.
Did you know about these news facts from the past? π I like the 3rd the most of course but all are interesting but I am not a big fan of the Kardashians but maybe other people like it. π
Today is 15 October and I found online that this happened today in the past:
1οΈβ£ On this day in 1993 Nelson Mandela and Frederik de Klerk became the winners of the Nobel Peace Prize because they helped ending the apartheid in South Africa. I think they deserved the Prize but what do you think?
2οΈβ£ In 1917 the Dutch dancer Mata Hari was executed in France because the government thought she was spying for Germany during World War I but a lot of people think that she was not guilty. What do people in your country believe?
3οΈβ£ Born on this day were Vergilius a Roman poet who wrote AenΔΜis (70 BCE) and Friedrich Nietzsche who was a philosopher from Germany (1844). Did anybody read books from them?
