πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ§™β€β™‚οΈ True or false? πŸ™„β“ Anything and everything

And in almost every grocery store here there is atleast 1 slot machine

You never have to throw cigarette butts outside. This is an education problem, not a cigarette problem. The same applies to food packaging

Yes and also chewing gum!! If you step on it with your shoes that is not nice but i also had it one time that it stuck on my leggings behind and that takes a lot of time to get it off. 😧😧

Thank you @Etienne, @Pennarossa2024 and @jiijii04 for writing things about my last statements! 😊😊

A new statement to test with everybody:

➑️ If you go on a first date, both the boy and girl can pay if you drink something or maybe go to the cinema. Because both often dont have a lot of money and it is not fair if the guy must always pay.

What do you think? True βœ… or false ❌ ?

➑️ To protect the climate, tourists can only make one flight per year!

I think most of people don't have the opportunity to take the plane, and such "bann" would come in form of fines, which would only establish a right to pollute for really rich people like it's already the right with some other things. For instance, I don't think Bernard Arnault or Taylor Swift would be very affected, while they pollute more than thousands of people.

More than that, I guess most of people wouldn't agree to it and would find it unfair or protest. In fact, most of the time, when something is forbidden, it seems that people just do it just because it's forbidden, to go against an established order. I would be much more for preventive and incitative actions for "normal" people, by going through education, showing them closer places to visit (many people have forgotten how interesting their own country or region is really beautiful!) etc.
In the meantime, I think having a focus on local production just like @Etienne suggested is more effective to reduce CO2 consumption with less effect on people's daily life (and in Europe, with propably a much better quality than imported products). As to make some stricter rules, by forbidding to do this or that, then focusing on multinational better framing industry and especially all that economy that revolves around consumption would be much more fair than to focus on the lower part of the pyramid.

More ashtrays should be added in public like store fronts and such so people wouldnt have to throw the cigarette butts on the ground and also why dont all cars have ashtrays also for the same purpose then you have to throw them from the window..
Like @Etienne mentionned, I think it's more of an education problem. I saw cigarette 2 meters from ashtrays almost everywhere. In fact, even in a 200 people campus lost in the countryside, some people managed to throw their cigarette butts a few meters away from the ashtrays... and we were all in ecology/forestry!

Thank you very much @Lianshen!! And I think as i wrote already maybe more second hand things so that you dont throw things away or always get things new. But it is not a problem to buy second hand things. We do that a lot and I think that is fine. Or I get for example sometimes clothes from a cousin who is older and I am happy about it because she is also not so tall so it is a good fit (sometimes only too big but sometimes it is ok). And when i was small with toys.

In my country a lot of people do that like sending an app in the street app group or just giving it away to a special store. Or you can sell it on marktplaats which is like vinted but for all sorts of things and people use it A LOTTTT. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Not necessarily. The one who invites should be ready to pay, because it's an invitation. Else, it should be agreed beforehand and not at the last moment like it is sometimes done. I have been invited by some women and paid nothing; and conversely, I invited and provided everything. I don't think it is about having a lot of money or not here, but rather about picking the right activity for your budget?

Thank you very much Lianshen!! Do you think that is always the same? So like when you are in high school or married or when you study and work?

Yes, some people tend to do that, but that might not be the rule. If you look at how many new clothes per year we have, at least 4 new trends, and how new phone models are released, then you can get an idea of how consumption is important still.
Also, some people don't like second hand at all and I admit that I almost never get anything second hand. I got my first clothes like this just a few months ago and always got my computer, computer's components, clothes or phone brand new, although not necessarily the most recent one and without changing without having a problem.
I have a mate who typically changed his phone and computer 3-4 times in just a few years.

Thank you very much Lianshen!! Do you think that is always the same? So like when you are in high school or married or when you study and work?
I don't know. I suppose it's different when married. At least, I would supposed that my partner's money is our money (and my money is my money) πŸ˜‰

Haha now I understand the joke!! πŸ˜› But in high school I think both have not a lot of money so is more fair if you share if you go to cinema or maybe. But I dont know if that is always the rule if you have a date but i think that is fair. πŸ™„

It's fair, but for me it's not an invitation then, but a date or rendez-vous/meeting. You can also see it differently for fairness: Your date invite you today, and you invite him tomorrow, hence you both pay once.

Thank you a lot @Lianshen for responding!! 😊😊

For today I have a difficult statement. But I think it is important:

➑️ In ANY war there are never winners. And the biggest losers in a war are most of the times the innocent people.

I also said this in Parsaa's forum because of the war that maybe will come between Israel and Iran. Today in our class we talked about the terror attacks last year in Israel. And I HATE that these attacks happened. There is no good reason to kill babies and to kidnap women and rape them and kill them. And of course so many other victims that day. But that did happen. BUTTTT I also hate what now happens in Gaza and Libanon every day (and already for so long). And maybe later also in Iran. I think that is why my statement is TRUE. Innocent people in Israel and Gaza and Libanon and also in other wars on ALL sides suffer the most. I HATE war and I know it will always stay and so always there will be very sad moments like happened last year and like what happens now still every day. And of course not only in the Middle East. πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜₯

But what do you think? True βœ… or false ❌ ?

War may be very hard on both sides, but I wouldn't go as far as to say there are never winners. This is how empires were built and thrived, and gains can usually be clearly identified for the victors.

Of course it would be nice if we all got along from the beginning of time, but then natural selection wouldn't exist, right? 😡

Hello everybody! πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ

It is time for a new daily forum! πŸ™‚ Every day people can post statements and you can write if you believe it is true βœ… or false ❌!

If you like to reply perhaps you can say about what statement you react! Everybody can post statements or reply to a statement! 😊😊

To start this I use two statements from our society class (in Dutch it is maatschappijleer but I am not sure i translated it correct). The first two statements are:

1️⃣ In our country there used to be wolves in the forrest. Now they bring back the wolves but sometimes people see them and are even attacked! Is it good or bad that they put wolves back like it used to be? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

2️⃣ Do you think that if people live more unhealthy (for example no sports, or they are overweight or smoking or other things) that they should pay more for medical things like the hospital and medicines and other things or should everybody pay the same always? πŸ™„

2 : for me yes the peaple are soo raw whith another peaple . and the mistake is nothing is a human mistake ; we are bild this and nobody can make a better word beacause we are human . for me

Thank you a lot @Lianshen for responding!! 😊😊

Once Plato said that : β€œOnly the dead have seen the end of war.” That's dreadfully true.

War may be very hard on both sides, but I wouldn't go as far as to say there are never winners. This is how empires were built and thrived, and gains can usually be clearly identified for the victors.

Of course it would be nice if we all got along from the beginning of time, but then natural selection wouldn't exist, right? 😡

I understand what you mean @Etienne but it is because if people die who are innocent or other very bad things I think that there is not a winner because there is too much lost. It is not a good price if so many innocent people suffer so much that somebody wins the war. That is what i think but i understand what you mean.

Once Plato said that : β€œOnly the dead have seen the end of war.” That's dreadfully true.

But sometimes that is even better than what happened to the kidnapped people who have suffered so much in very unfair way like women and also in Gaza where some people are not dead but they miss whole families or parents are dead and the others only survive but everything is destroyed.

Sorry that i write so much about it but i just think war is so unfair and ugly and stupid. πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜”

Today I wanted to write a different statement so not about war. πŸ™‚

➑️ Men and women have different roles in a family. So like between a wife and a husband they have sometimes the same but often also different tasks. And the same between brothers and sisters that they have standard also different tasks.

But what do you think? True βœ… or false ❌ ?

Yes, although what we essentially want is to assert dominance over our peers/opponents/enemies, so that we'd rather lose stuff if they happen to lose even more

I'm not sure sisters/brothers have different roles based on their genders, but more based on their age (older siblings can be expected to help the younger ones). For adult men and women I agree that there are different roles based on their personality and needs, but I think there is a somewhat large overlap
