Have you ever been racism victim? Anything and everything

I've been asked many times from ppl in my class (only boys) if my grandfather is H*tler because i originally come from Germany.... I never really cared tho bc ofc thats not true and they know that. Some boys bullied me bc they found my german ladtname weird too but again i got over it. Wasn't very nice tho. 🙁

Oh gosh dear!! They are mentally disturbed!! I’ve not words for reply… just sucks! At least does they know who was him?! 🤬

Guess they didn't care or dont know that words can hurt.....

But...isn't Hitler Austrian?
(not being mean to Austrians, pls don't misunderstand
I dont know i think they knew but since he lead the Germans they act like he was German or idk. A teacher told them once and one of the boys acctually said "Wait, so she has nothing to do with him?" like ofc i dont, even if he was the same nationality like me

Never happened to me.

Yep, and quite a few times, but it wasn't meaningful enough for me to exactly remember them. I just got a laugh when I got mistaken for a Chinese, a Turkish or an arab (or I don't know what) with the slurs that goes with it.

Less personally, the French president insulted Bretons, and Bretons women especially several times. Apparently, my mother is illeterate and we are a bunch of ruthless mafioso/peasants* out west. Ah, France... 😃

* word in French is "plouc" and comes from the fact that many bretons going to Paris for work (in poor conditions) were from villages starting with "plou" (plou means people in Breton). Hence, it became a slur against Bretons to designate them as barbarians, peasant, uneducated... in the past.

You're right not to care… ignorant people go to hell ❤️

Unfortunately yes, it isn't quite uncommon for me to receive several forms of racism. A memorable one would be a student from school calling me a Mexican. I am actually a Pakistani American, it's a common mistake from others to assume that I'm Mexican because of my brown skin. Once I told the person that I am a Pakistani American, they responded with "are you going to crash into the twin towers again??". Now if this were a friend saying it, I would have let it pass, but it was an ignorant stranger. I just walked away because it didn't really faze me though.

not directly but some people online are rude because I’m brown

One day I went to the store with a friend, to buy a pack of candies. Once I entered the store, nothing seemed wrong, until I noticed that the security guard was abnormally following me from a few meters away, looking at me… He was checking every aisle I went to, I guess it was to see if I was going to steal something, because apparently, Arabs are « stealers ». He didn’t say it, but it is a stereotype. I clearly saw him with my own eyes following me over the store…

yesssssssssssssss a lot

Me too, at school. Some still didn't stop

He is probably jealous of us Arabs🤣

In my country it happens a lot. So if I bike people shout things because my parents are from China and I look Asian so they say things about that. And that is not only people who are white but also people who have also parents from other countries. 😣😔 It is not every day but it happens a lot. 🥀

Many thieves in France/Europe are Arabs (which doesn't mean that many Arabs are thieves). There are also some way to dress that can be typically associated with thieves/troublemakers for the same reasons, and maybe Sabri was dressing like this too. That could be an alternative explanation to the racism of the security guard.

I am also being looked at in Japan, and I don't feel any racism because of it. I am pretty sure that Europeans or foreigners in general are more likely to cause problems than natives here, and it's ok to make sure that nothing happens rather than wait and cry or fight.

Thats why you vote >30% for RN Party in France?

For everybody who is racism victim: 🌺🌸🌼🌻 You are a ⭐ no matter what other people say or do. 🫶🫶

That's another stereotype which has a part of true. The RN has probably nothing to do with the equivalent in Germany though.

But I was wearing jeans, a sweatshirt and a coat 🤷‍♂️ nothing really abnormal.
But yeah, some clothes can make someone think of troublemakers, but it's really sad for people to not be able to dress the way they want without being considered troublemakers and suffer from prejudices. However it's not my case since nothing was really alarming for the security guard so that's why I didn't understand his reaction.

Then maybe he just stopped to the prejudices, and in this case I take back my words. I can imagine that the situation is not very pleasant too.
