Hello everybody! 😊 I promised @shirazikira to make a forum so everybody can write about super and really great travel experiences!!!! 🌞🏖️🏕️🌍

So maybe if you would like to write about really nice places can you perhaps tell about:

1. Japan. It's great because of the nice and polite People, good Food and beautiful Locations. And you can also do pretty nice shopping in Tokyo🛒👌
2. We met my Mom's Friend. My mom was in Japan many years and they met around 20 yrs ago!

Her friend is an old woman now, she is called Asami and can tell great stories!

I really like talking with Asami-san, and I also loved her house, it was a very cozy house in Okayama.

3. Yes, when I also visited Universal Studios Japan, I bought myself an nice plushie 😁

4. I ate a lot of Sushi. 🍣

My dream destination? USA, tbh. Especially Colorado, cuz another friend of my mum lives there and I would like to meet her again.

I went to Lüneburg in Germany a while ago when I was in middle school. It’s a small city but still worth visiting because there is a little of life in the city center, with some nice shops, coffees and a special museum : the salt museum.

2️⃣ Did anything very nice happen that you always remember?

So basically after the museum visit me and my friends went to an ice cream shop because it was hot, and we were struggling to speak in German ! the waiter was so nice with us, that he offered us ice cream for half the price + 2 free scoops ☺️😋

3️⃣ Did you get a nice souvenir of that place?

Yes. A memory. 🙂

Germany is an underrated place to visit, like I really feel you can go anywhere there’s always something interesting to know about or to visit.

Omgggg ok wait so you got one of half price + 2 scoops free = 3 scoops!!!!! 😳😳 That is a LOTTTT!!!! I would have bellyache as souvenir!!!!! 🤪😝 And what is your biggest DREAM destination of everything now @Sabri_KC?

And i updated the list above!!! I will also write later but i just came back from sports and i still have to eat dinner super late!!! 🤐🙃😵😵‍💫

For any nature lovers who wish to take the deep plunge into the best that African wildlife has to offer: Botswana’s northern parks are mesmerizing. We have friends living in Kasane which provides easy access to natural parks such as Chobe, Savuti, Moremi and the Okavango Delta. It is impossible to describe the feeling of drifting and camping in the Delta (be mindful of green logs with teeth and clumsily looking hippos which are significantly faster than any member on this penpal site). The best of the best is the famous pride of lions which is famous for hunting elephants on the plains of Savuti (featured also on Planet Earth and the NGC documentary of the Jouberts) and elusive leopards in Moremi which can be viewed without any other safari trucks in the direct vicinity. We are still due to visit the Kalahari Desert when in full bloom. Perhaps somewhere sometime in the not too distant future.

Time permitting I can share some thoughts on other remote natural awes which we have visited in the past.

Current dream destinations include French Polynesia and various parts of the ancient Silk Roads (Kashgar, Taklamakan and several sites in Iran).

I will also write later but i am not sure if i write abt China or maybe the last summer vacation bc i really liked Mont-Saint-Michel which i think is very beautiful so i think maybe i write abt the last first!!! 🙂

One of our major weak spots for traveling remains visiting destinations along the ancient Silk Roads. Few places are able to instantly thwart you back in time like the famous Registan Square in Samarkand or captivating market places in the old town of Bukhara. Our daughter had her first taste of horseback riding in Mongolia (on the magnificent plains of Terelj National Park near the capital city Ulaan Batar) and our second daughter had her first taste of Central Asia in Almaty and Charyn Canyon. Next on our wish list are Isfahan (Iran) and Kashgar (China). If there happen to be any other travel addicts lurking around on this penpal site, just send a shout out privately or in this forum thread.
