well, me and my brothers we allways wear knifes, why? because its simply practical. We walk with those knifes everywhere. Even once in Italy we entered a museum, where they were having detactors at the entre. They wanted us to give our phones, and other stuff, but we never gave them our knifes, and the detactors never saw our knifes 😆. We walked trough the whole museum without any problems 😆

great news from Sweden................
I started to completely ignore these news, because it's always the same story and the same societal profile. It's almost always the same context, the same events in different places, but nobody asked where did they get their weapons, or how. There is no political actions taken and not even a wish to do anything.
As for me, I would not go out at night in Rennes or Nantes (and I won't mention how Nantes was safe when I was a child); but in Vannes or countryside, it's perfectly fine. I was also at night alone where you could even see women and at times children (when not too late) walking or biking. Same in Norway, strangely, no problem at all to wander at night in a city center. In French or German cities though? Or in Latin America? Oh boy, that's a stupid idea, especially if you are a woman.
It's illegal to carry a weapon with you in France, even a small knife actually, unless you have a very very good reason. Detaining a weapon of war, even at home, is also illegal of course, yet, some people own them and use them nonetheless. Like I said in another topic, you have countries like Switzerland where carrying a weapon is legal under strict circumstances, or even Norway where many people at least have a hunting rifle or practice sport shooting, and those are among the most peaceful countries in the world.
@mayuuram In Belgium you are not allowed to have any weapons in your pocket, not even a knife. think carefully about where you are going to study

For me i would not be really afraid for shootings. And that is because there are shootings but only between criminals. BUTTTT in my country a MUCHH bigger problem are knives and a lot of people have them. That is super dangerous and they often have it because they want to protect themselves because OTHERSS have knives!! So it becomes crazy and they can use it against anyone. So if you are alone and there is a group with knives i dont think you can do anything.

In Belgium, there have been shootings at a metro station in the past 2 weeks by young people with weapons of war. there is one death and several injuries. it's probably a drug fight. what do you think of such situations? Does this also happen in your country? it is bad! REALLY BAD! Yes sadly... some weeks ago there was a school shooting (if i am not wrong it was the school here near my house) I AM AFRAID TO GO OUTSIDE AT NIGHT! But i like to stay under the moon and wach the streets and walk and go into deep thoughts
