I started to completely ignore these news, because it's always the same story and the same societal profile. It's almost always the same context, the same events in different places, but nobody asked where did they get their weapons, or how. There is no political actions taken and not even a wish to do anything.
As for me, I would not go out at night in Rennes or Nantes (and I won't mention how Nantes was safe when I was a child); but in Vannes or countryside, it's perfectly fine. I was also at night alone where you could even see women and at times children (when not too late) walking or biking. Same in Norway, strangely, no problem at all to wander at night in a city center. In French or German cities though? Or in Latin America? Oh boy, that's a stupid idea, especially if you are a woman.
It's illegal to carry a weapon with you in France, even a small knife actually, unless you have a very very good reason. Detaining a weapon of war, even at home, is also illegal of course, yet, some people own them and use them nonetheless. Like I said in another topic, you have countries like Switzerland where carrying a weapon is legal under strict circumstances, or even Norway where many people at least have a hunting rifle or practice sport shooting, and those are among the most peaceful countries in the world.
Well in the US, there are more than 100 millionth of gun weapons which are owned by privates for a population of more than 339 millionth people : since 1934 , it is possible to buy freely there a war machine gun but it must be produced before 1986 which lets the chance to a single private to be the owner of very terrific and powerful war weapons like M16 , Ak 47 and 74 or Fal and Heckler and Koch G3 guns. In 1993 when I used to live in Central Calfornia , many people often used to spend time on the week end by shooting glass bottes in their garden and I used to practise this special kind of ball trop at that time with all sorts of handguns : p38 8mm, beretta 9mm ,colt python 357 magnum 11.43 and pumpgun 12mm the same used by schwarzenneger in Terminator judgement day ( I was invited and?I did it but it was really not my cup of tea ! )
