Today is Ascension Day. Yesterday i chatted with @nikikat_03 bc we have a day free and tomorrow too in my school and she in Germany. And in Dutch it is Hemelvaart and in German it is Himmelfahrt and it means the same but we had NO idea how to say it in English but it is Ascension Day. And it means that Jesus went to Heaven. ➡️ International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers

This day is important bc it is about people who keep peace even if it is really dangerous and they can stop new wars. Without them it would be MUCH worse in a lot of places where people only saw war after war. So i think it is important that they have a special day. ➡️ End of the Middle Ages Day

I saw this on the list of the website with all the news facts and i thought maybe it is nice to mention it for @diogenes_cask and anybody else who also likes history a lot!!! This is what the news website says about it (there is more in it but this is the part maybe people like now):

End of the Middle Ages Day comes up on May 29 every year. It was on this day in 1453 that Constantinople fell to Ottoman invaders led by Sultan Mehmed II attacked the city and overthrew Emperor Constantine XI Palaiologos. Many intellectuals fled the capital city for asylum in Italy and started a revival of learning based on classical Greek sources. The Middle Ages, divided into early, high and late Middle Ages, are traditionally seen as a time when cultural and scientific progress was at a minimum. In contrast, the Renaissance surpassed the ideas of classical antiquity.

Autonomous Vehcle Day! sorry but that is ridicolous! i do like cars, but autonomous vehicles are stupid craps!

I have never been in a car that can drive completely alone!! i think in the future all cars are like that or drones and for example if you order something a drone delivers it to your house alone. i have NOOO idea if that REALLY happens in the future but it could be possible. But i am not sure IF it would happen if it would be good or not at all.

My dad made jokes about if i drive a car later that i need wood blocks under my shoes and that he would not stop laughing. But i think later i would prefer my bike bc if i would study maybe in amsterdam or another city at the university i dont think i need a car and it is a LOTTTT easier with a bike in a city. But i dont want an electric bike.

Yesss!!!! It is a really good day but i think everybody should smile more often. Sometimes i walk in the city and people look like 😒🤨😬😵‍💫🫤 So we should change that!!! 😛

But i even love my ortho LESSSS bc i have braces and they make it tighter every time and that can really hurt. So i like that even LESS than a normal dentist. In my country there are a LOTTTT of bicycles. I almost go everywhere in my hometown with bicycle. And there are in every city very big parking places with bicycles (like the second photo i put above: it is a parking lot of bikes near the train station in Amsterdam). Idk much about eid al adha but i know a summary:

He had to kill his son (Ismael) on a mountain for god (allah in Quran), so god gets sure that he is truly in his/her way (god’s pure way), he went there but a ship was also there, god said you have passed the exam, kill the ship instead of Ismael, so he did that.

in this day, muslims sacrifice a ship, and give its cooked meat to people who are in need. Thats all i knew @Yue_
