The moment that we stop celebrating the little things in life, is the moment that life is numbed. The actions of Israel in Gaza are atrocious. The exact same thing can be said about the monstrous behaviour of Hamas during (and after) the October attacks. What about (seemingly) never ending conflicts elsewhere in the world which do not get the same attention as Gaza? Should we stop celebrating life altogether until all senseless conflicts with numerous casualties are ended across the globe? Will we ever get to that stage somewhere before the end of mankind?

I support your call for the genocide in Gaza to stop (as applies similarly to horrific events that occur in e.g. Ukraine, DRC, Sudan and numerous other parts of the world where murder, torture, rape, etc. are prevalent). Gaza is a horrific tale in a significantly larger storyline.

In the meantime, life events - both important and unimportant - can and obviously should be celebrated. There is no harm in that (particularly on a penpal website which is driven by social interaction and cultural exchange) and adds colour to life in a meaningful way.

Thank you very much everyone!! First i was not sure if i should stop this forum bc what @EduardoAntonio said and that perhaps people dont like it bc of that reason. But I think that what @Savi2024 and @-Kiki- said is true and that it is important that we also like nice things and can talk about that.
