More than 700 arrested during protests against Putin's war in Russia
On Saturday (September 24th) more than 700 people were arrested during new protests in Russia against partial mobilization. The human rights portal ovd.info reported in Moscow in the evening of 747 arrests in 32 cities across the country. It was only about the men and women who were known by name, and significantly more people could be in custody, it said. At least 380 arrests were reported for the Russian capital Moscow alone - and 125 for St. Petersburg.
The Russian police took brutal action against participants in the anti-war protests banned by the authorities. Videos were published on social networks in St. Petersburg showing men in combat uniform and helmets beating demonstrators. The portal ovd.info, citing eyewitnesses, reported that the security forces had used stun guns.

The Chinese leadership reacted to Putin's partial mobilization by calling for a ceasefire in Ukraine. This shows that Russia has no reliable allies.
Western reactions to his partial mobilization cannot have surprised Putin. But the rhetorical withdrawal movement from Beijing is likely to be painful for him. The fact that the spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry calls not only for a ceasefire, but also for a quick solution that takes into account the "legitimate security concerns of all parties" shows that China is losing patience with Putin.
Even at his most recent meeting with Xi Jinping, it was no longer possible to gloss over the differences that are opening up in the Russo-Chinese alliance as a result of the ever longer and more consequential war. Dependent on China and India

When the EU oil embargo goes into full effect next year, China and India will be paramount to the Russian economy. Russia is also dependent on the two countries in the long term, because the West will not be a business partner for the time being.
The war will not be decided in Beijing or Delhi, but developments show that Putin is missing something Ukraine could count on, despite some discussions in recent months: reliable allies.
Ukrainian advance near Lyman: Russian troops surrounded
Update from September 28, 4:15 p.m .: In the eastern Ukrainian region of Donetsk, the Russian troops are apparently threatened with being surrounded by the Ukrainian army. Russian war reporters on Wednesday reported on successful Ukrainian advances northeast and east of the small town of Lyman. Should the settlement of Torske be recaptured, the Russians are threatened with cutting off the communication routes from Lyman to Kreminna and Swatowe in the Luhansk region.
The streets are already under fire from Ukrainian artillery. According to Ukrainian sources, at least one other place on the east side of the Oskil River near the city of Kupjansk in the Kharkiv region, Kivscharivka, has been recaptured.

Sergey and his friends are good propagandists but it’s getting harder and harder to make believing in all his lies and it’s more and more difficult to hide what’s really happened in Ukraine or in Russia. The partial mobilization doesn’t seem to generate enthusiasm among the potential conscripts and many candidates for emigration flock to the country's borders to avoid becoming canon flesh. May be the Russians are not so patriot or they are tired of the behavior of their president and his band: Why dying for a dictator and his team of thieves? That will not improve the problems of demography of this so wonderful country from where the young men want to escape. Nobody is fooled about the results of the referendum in the occupied territories in east Ukraine. It’s the beginning of the end for the dictator, even China or Indian drop him, they see that Putin is in a logic without hope but of course they continue to buy his gas at low price without giving him any help. For the moment nobody is sure about who is behind this sabotage of the North stream one: Europe has nothing to win with that but now Putin has nothing to lose. Another crazy delusion by SergeyMoro that Germany supposedly destroyed the pipeline. I think the German/Swedish/Finnish and Polish navies should take better precautions and shoot down illegal Russian submarines with hydrogen bombs beforehand.
