I think he let Musk do a dirty job aka famous "Project 2025".

And I believe a Putin only acts interest regarding Ukraine commitment and peace (imagine several 100.000s soldiers without a war, what will they do .. going home, seriously?) because he guess a unique Chance to cause a big Argument between U.S. and Europe.

Just what he wished in the last almost 15 years ...

The future of Gaza and Ukraine? Can the president of the United States alone decide the fate of the world? Can he decide which country to take? Can he decide where thousands of people will live? Can he deport thousands of people?

Well, the fate of Ukraine was decided when USA messed up with the country and led it to a war with Russia, making some of Ukrainian leaders believe that they would be part of NATO/EU... He can surely decide to stop funding that war any more and stop it, no matter how bad the consequences are for Ukrainians.

Concerning illegal migrants, Trump has been elected and only does what he said he would do on that regard. People love democracy, and if people chose that they got enough of illegal immigration, then they have the right to deport illegals back to their countries.
There is quite a big contrast between what Trump is doing now and what France/Eu do. In France, we listen to Comores refusing to take back their illegal migrants and claiming Mayotte for themselves; among others, and EU forbids France to deport illegal migrants with an obligation to leave French territory in group; making the deportation individual and thus extremely expensive, meaning impossible.

For Gaza, I didn't pay much attention to the story. For me, it was a troll and will remain a troll. In other words, I'm really not interested in yet another weird verbal fight on social medias between arabs and jews, and their respective supporters.

Trump has not the way to shape the world in one's own way. Yet, his irresponsible decisions change the balance of the world. Among his stupid initiatives his intention to stop the war between Ukraine and Russia , ddealing with Russia without asking Ukraine's opinion.

The last Trump’s words are really amazing, He says that Ukrainians are responsible of the war and Zelensky is a dictator. Is Trump hypocrite? Is trump losing his mind? Or is trump already manipulated by Putin ? His past as crooked businessman can make you think that anything is possible. Putin seems to have taken Putin's side by granting him his territorial demands in advance and by reintegrating this criminal into the circle of acceptable leaders. Trump's negotiations are still as poorly conducted as he did during his last term with Kim Jong Un or the Taliban. He even considers his former allies as enemies and allows himself to say that Zelensky is an unelected dictator who made ruins in his own country.

In front of that, European countries that for years thought that United States would protect them forever and neglected their own defense for decades are reluctant to make a common decision in the face of an enemy that wants to destroy democracies and rebuild a new Russian empire.

As said Churchill before the Second World War: You prefer peace and dishonor to war, you will have dishonor but you will still have war. We are now in this case.

Your comment is interesting. I will first say I'm not sure why Trump said said Zelenskyy's approval rating is 4% when it's been slightly over 50% for months. But we all know he sometimes likes tossing random nonsense, hoping it sticks (I generally support most of his policies but find him very unlikable for this reason).

This is where our views diverge:

Among his stupid initiatives his intention to stop the war between Ukraine and Russia , ddealing with Russia without asking Ukraine's opinion.
How could you possibly say it's a stupid initiative to try and stop the war? Should we make it a proper WW3 instead?

Ukraine has no say in this because:

1. they have effectively lost the war and were only kept afloat by the EU/US pouring hundreds of billions of Euros into their survival

2. Zelenskyy had at least 3 timely opportunities to sit down at the table and negotiate peace but he refused to do so (cf. this very insightful Lex Friedman interview where Zelenskyy reveals a deep hatred not just for Putin — which is understandable — but for all Russians).

Zelenskyy is clearly bitter that he lost the war, and equally bitter the West didn't want to engage in the conflict with them.

The last Trump's words are really amazing, He says that Ukrainians are responsible of the war and Zelensky is a dictator.
Ukraine is definitely not responsible for the war, it's entirely on Russia. That said, Zelenskyy did refuse to hold elections despite presidential elections being held in the past during WW1 and WW2. I still don't think it makes him a dictator, but I understand it can at least raise questions.
[Trump] even considers his former allies as enemies
The US has no allies nor does it have enemies: it only has its own interests, just like Russia or China. Only in the EU do we consider personal interests to be fictional and that we should all be happily holding hands. It's time to wake up and now would be a good time to do so. We aren't even involved in the negotiation process nor should we be — children don't sit at the adults' table.

TLDR: the war must end, only the US (Trump specifically) can do this, Zelenskyy has lost, despite Putin being the bad guy.

Stop the world i wanna go off

Momma come pick me up im scared

Of course it’s good to negotiate to obtain the peace. I am nevertheless astounded by Trump’s methods. He accepts in advance the conditions of his opponent and denigrates with false accusations the person he is supposed to represent. Calling the Ukrainian president a dictator without an election with only 4% of favorable opinion seems clear to me. He also chooses as negotiation place a country whose leader allows himself to assassinate journalist. He also insult his allies through JD Vance by giving to Europe lesson of democracy. May be Trump is surely upset by the Zelensky's refusal to give him in advance the resources of rare metals in the Ukrainian territory. We are obliged to conclude that Trump will give the victory to Putin. He is in the side of Putin now, I could never imagine that USA become our enemy.

Maybe Zelensky lost this war, but not entirely. If Zelensky had not courageously decided to stay in his country from the beginning and if the Ukrainians had not fought, Ukraine would have been just another possession under Putin's rule since a long time. Putin didn't reach his first objective.

Now West Europe will have to prepare for a new conflict that will inevitably occur because Putin will not stop there.

This is not the world I wanted to live in

Shame on Trump

🥺😔😓😟😥😢😞

I think the war will continue at least until the liberation of the Kursk region from the Ukrainian army.
and then if the US and Europe stop providing assistance to Ukraine - Zelensky will sign peace anyway.

I think the world is in the hands of some crazy rulers. They endanger the lives of all of us. I am consoled by the fact that they too are destined to die

I agree, what we witnessed was a complete shit show. Trump and Vance clearly wanted to assert domination from the very beginning, which is contrary to the usual diplomacy protocol which is "praise in public, criticize in private". The "say thank you, come on say thank you" sequence was a clear humiliation and as Zelenskyy was being treated like a little boy... also responded in a true little boy fashion with "I did say thank you, I did, I did". Very embarrassing on both ends, it looked like a middle school fight at recess.

Ultimately, Zelenskyy fails to understand that the US doesn't care whether Russia or Ukraine wins: they are on an entirely different continent. Zelenskyy is losing the war and is still not open to any kind of compromise/deal involving Russia or some kind of pay back for its allies. He only knows to whine/beg and is astonishingly bad at diplomacy. His comment about the US being safe for now but they should watch out was uncalled for, for somebody whose fate depends pretty much entirely on the US.

Trump and Vance also are the worst at diplomacy. The key difference is they hold all the cards, while Zelenskyy's country is being destroyed. I feel bad for the Ukrainian people, and ashamed that these leaders act in such a childish way.

You can be sure - they have built the best anti-nuclear bunkers - that can be and at public expense

When Zelensky was not yet president, he received summonses to war 4 times. He evaded them all, including going to hide in Moscow. And now he shames people who do not want to go and die in war - in cowardice.

At least it is now clear to the whole world what this war is really about: pure self-interest, raw materials and strategically important territories.

The elimination of the alleged Nazi regime in Kiev (Selensky is Jewish, what stupid nonsense) only serves to trigger the Russian people to keep them in line.

That people believe this is due to 20 years of information campaigns.

I hope the whole world has finally understood how to be careful with their vote. Nothing learned from 1933, nothing at all!

I see 3 things from that story at this point:

- Ukraine's leader is stuck in a nightmare because of his hatred for Russia/Putin and his delusional belief that he will be defended by foreign organizations (namely NATO and/or EU), but, hey, maybe there is a last dollarito to make out of the mess for the richer ones here.

- US gets enough of messing up with others everywhere and think it's time to stop before losing money. They made EU more asserved to them, weakened a little Russia, polarized the world a bit more and completely transformed Ukraine into a puppet and extremely corrupted state, finalizing the process started at least with Maidan.
Now that they got what they wanted, they come to say that it is enough and ask for repayment, claiming to be the country that helped the most Ukraine despite EU helping almost 3 times more if we count the future allocations. To get their interests, everything is good too; a good and irrelevant boastful claim like rare earths followed by better negotiation asking for everything valuable in Ukraine; gaz, minerals, farms... The scene is so ridiculous that it looks like the already ruined Ukraine lost a game of monopoly, stopping by the most expensive street with 1 hotel built on it.

- EU is the naive dummy helping Ukraine because "boohoo Russia is bad; US told us so" losing a cheap source of energy with the magical incident of North Stream I & II. Went full bozo against Russia; forgetting totally about its interests and ironically still getting Russian gaz, but 10 times the former price. Smart move for sure, but it makes us look morally superior because Ukraine is a poor and innocent victim, so it deserves to destroy our economies and our industries, so that we can pay Ukrainians by sacrifcing our social rights.

The war might stop though, with a bitter defeat of the incredible avengers; and since uncle sam is asking for its money back (like it didnt make enough and didn't destroyed EU and Ukraine) EU clowns will try to do the same, except that Ukraine wiill have nothing to give anymore. Results for EU? Russia has been pushed in China's arms and is more antagonized than ever. We lost our industry and our cheap energy at the benefits of US; we get poorer, live more and more in what will soon become a tyranny, but it's ok, because we are saving the world. The eurocentrism and the arrogance we have both as european people and our leaders is hilariously bringing us to our fall.

I remember that when all this started, I mentionned that the one who had interests in this war was mainly the US, and that every country works for its self interests. When I said so and argued that US and EU had their responsibilities and provoked that war with their behaviour; I was called a pro-Putin or even a Russian. Hopefully people will realize that US is not our friend and that EU never worked for Europeans, but for lobbies and US interests.
It's a shame though that we have to get our face in the dung to realize that collectively, if we ever realize something. Normally, past experience and witnessing events should be enough to teach us.

Sometimes I feel I'm living in a show like The Simpsons. Those leaders do things so stupid like it sounds and looks almost satirical like in the shows...

Just look at this post made by the White House on Valentine's day!

Or this "Trump Gaza" video made with AI... (These are screenshots from the video)

I just... I had no words when I saw those the first time. And this seems not to shock anyone, and even less their supporters.

Russia IS bad or do you all seriously believe the shit is told by Putin (and newer Trump) . Hate on EU?
