I think De André, Guccini and Battisti are the best, but they aren't modern. Uhm, maybe Tricarico or Gemelli Diversi? They are good too. And Elisa, she's really good - she sings also in english.

You could try to listen Negramaro 😁 according to me it is a great italian band..
Or Vasco Rossi, an italian singer..I love him..and his band..
Like was already said you could listen also Lucio Battisti..And especially read his beautiful lyrics..

I don't listen to Venezuelan music at all, but I like Voz Veis (try with Aunque Sea Poco, that's the name of the song, I like it) 🙂

From Italy i would recommend that you should listen to "Negramaro" they're a very good band and here they're pretty famous. Italian music is actually going to the dogs, no more singular projects, an artistic field totally ruined by record industry (i should stop i could talk very badly about many artists)
But i strongly recommend that you listen to Rapahel Gualazzi, you could listen to "Reality and Fantasy". i know the lyrics is english, but he can very well also english and it's remarkable because nowadays industry chooses strange people that cannot even italian.. (i'll stop again). His one it's a totally new genre, never heard of something similar here in Italy. He definitely slipped out of mass tastes and, however, managed to get some success. These kind of artists are what i'd like Italy promote.
