A clarification. Someone said that Penpal Gate does not need a flag because it is not a state. It is true. However a flag can become the symbol of friendship. For some people the flag project can be a fun game. For other people it may be an example of "direct democracy". When I proposed designing and voting on the flags, I thought that this idea would allow us to meet new people, make new friends, consolidate existing friendships, and let other people participate in the life of the forum. Ultimately Etienne will decide what to do with the winning flag. He can put it in the drawer of good memories, or he can hoist it on the tower of a castleπ° or on the flagpole of a shipβ΄οΈβ΅.
