I was impressed by the technicians behind the event. They are so talented, it was truly breath taking. Not so much about the art director, though. As a Frenchman and Christian, this was a well calculated humiliation to say the least.

I knew these Games would not live up to my expectations. As a Christian too, I can only agree with what’s been said here. This… « opening » was disgusting, humiliating and shameful in my opinion. What a disgrace! Not that I’m surprised, though. They just can’t help themselves, can they?

The things you mention were great. That's not what people are talking about though: it was the last supper parody with bearded drag queens (and for some reason a child hanging out among them), the morbid decapitation of the queen of France that was weirdly celebrated, or that naked guy painted in blue singing nonsense. Oh, and that unnecessary interracial threesome. Might also add Aya Nakamura touching herself as the National Guard must play behind her.

France is so famous and strongly rooted in world's history, for it's culture and achievements. And some people are proud of this disgusting show that should be rather a picture presenting what EU leaders and ideologists have in their heads.

The reason why those elements have become almost common is: They think they have to show a normality or want to make it so.
It's the same issue as 2022 in Qatar, where the Europeans should have realized that something like this can go down badly at an event in which the whole world takes part (every country sends athletes and feels that they are being addressed).

I thought that the only thing good about the opening ceremony was the boat parade and that was it. The rest of it was weird and gross cuz what in the world of Carmen San Diego does drag queens have to do with the Olympics? Its supposed to be about the athletes and the Sports they are doing and they basically had a boring mechanical horse, weird drag queens and a weird fashion show, a bisexual threesome and more. Hope the athletes didn't get sick being in the rain though but I'll probably skip watching the Olympics cuz the opening was very anti-Christian and as a Christian woman, I thought it was very weird.
