If what I mean here isn't very clear : I just meant that there is always a reason to think something is wrong with others, but typically, being afk is a very common thing on the internet, it might seems different here because we're on a small website/in a small community.

We use nicknames mostly here. Lianshen and most of my other nicknames are certainly not French either (it's not even French inspired), neither is EloBlue here. In addition, there are names in France that belong to French cultures and that don't seem French at all. For instance, I'm Breton, it officially belongs to France, but Breton names could be Hoel, Malo, Gwenn, Kervi... There are also immigrants, that mostly have arabic names for a majority, but also turkish names sometimes.

Same for friends, I've no friend on my profile here despite probably being more active than him and talking to one or two people regulary.

Internet connection is monthly paid in France. Older people will also mostly use a computer, and not a laptop or a phone to log on such website (generally). You might let your computer run freely and do your stuff aside, especially if you have to check your computer from time to time to see if everything is ok because some stuff are computer regulated in a farm nowaday.
I have some acquaintances who let their computer on 24/7 as well, even when they are not home at all. It's not "ecofriendly", but some do that. Once again, I don't think you are less strange than him... :v
