Hiii everybody!! 🙋♀️ Today it is International Kissing Day which u can read here about: https://nationaltoday.com/international-kissing-day/ 😬😬🙄 For that reason but also for other reason i wanted to make a forum about dates. 🫣🤐 Normally i ask if people want to answer the questions but please only do that if u like that or if u want to say something about dates. 🙏🙏😊🥰
There really is an international day for everything, ahahahah
1️⃣ If somebody asks u on a date and you say yes: how do u feel? Are you really nervous and do u feel insecure a LOTTTT or not really?
If I say yes, I start with the idea that I already like the person and showed repeated signs of affection. I guess I'd feel a bit unsure about how I should prepare to make it good
2️⃣ Are you always certain when it is a date nor not really? For example if somebody asks u to hang maybe or go to the city centre together or do something else and you dont really know that person do u think that is a date always?
Usually, there is no confusion because I rarely hang out with people, let alone the ones I don't know well. I may have 2 girls I consider good mates and would do this with; and it's purely platonic. More than that, te way I kept people close to me makes it clearer overall, as I don't keep much contact with "random" people.
For the date itself, although things can be very confusing and the line can be thin (there can be a lot of subtext, attentions, etc. and people never ask ""do you want to be my girl/boyfriend":. an "I love you" though is absolutely not confusing; and signs of attachments are generally good indicators because they arrive past a certain point).
Girls interested in me generally understand that I'm inapt at picking up social cues/hints and will handle things in such a way that they will make me confess my feelings first.
3️⃣ Do u also dare to say no to a date and if yes how do u do that?
No, but I said no before a date could occur. It's usually not a very agreeable moment and it's always difficult to find words that are explicit enough, yet not stabbing, especially realizing the courage it requires to confess.
4️⃣ On a date do u bring a gift for that person and if yes what kind of gift?
No, maybe because I'm not much in the date thing to start with. I can offer something, but it will be for a special occasion, or because I felt like it; not because of the date itself.
5️⃣ Do u think that the guy must pay on date if for example u go to the cinema and the girl on the second date or differently?
It just depends. Sometimes I'd pay, sometimes she'd pay; order doesn't matter. I think I rarely have been the first to pay though... I'm the princess of the couple, I guess
6️⃣ If u already went on dates: what is the nicest date u had and what was the weirdest or worst?
I don't really have this "culture" as said previously. I "date" people I already have ended up in couple with, somehow. Weirdest and best was probably taking a motorbike and ending up hiking with a girl wearing crocs...
7️⃣ Do u go on date where there are also friends or that u can call them maybe or somebody else u trust?
No. I suppose I'd be uncomfortable and wish to leave if it happened.
8️⃣ Do u kiss on a date or hold hands or talk about feelings or only later with more dates?
The good thing with dating someone who is already your partner is that... all of these things and sometimes more are guaranteed to happen 🙂
Funny that you ask this question but feel too shy to respond to it, though !
9️⃣ Do u prefer really romantic or more funny or super adventure dates?
I don't have preference. I believe the three can mix very well together actually. A hike for example can be adventurous and punctuated with funny moment, then reach a romantic peak. A romantic date can be funny or bring an adventure on its own too; and a funny activity can also open the gate to romance and its own kind of adventure.
What matters the most, in my opinion, is that we both enjoy the time we spend together and cherish the memories we are creating.
🔟 Do u have tips for other persons if they go on a date?
Don't push yourself into the "date culture". I don't believe the best relationships come from treating dating like shopping for a partner or comparing people like products in a supermarket. Take your time, find somebody nice, be yourself, and share activities that you like or, sometimes, that your partner loves.
If you get into a relationship after dating, keep dating after it too. Keep making time for shared experiences together, little adventures, breaking the routine... It shouldn't feel forced or like an effort, but something that you both enjoy. Having a partner who still tries to surprise you, spend quality time together, get interested in the things you love is incredibly valuable and, basically, what keeps the love engine on.
@Yue_ I'd say your case is probably a date since our cultures are close, ahahah. That being said, I wouldn't take it with too much pressure. You can just go without expectations, without anything in mind and check later how it was, how did you feel etc. Keep small things small !
➡️ New question from @Colin_Der_Backfisch:
What would other people consider a date? Where's the border to a
regular meeting? Is it just me or should people clarify if it's a date
or not to prevent wrong intentions from the beginning on?
For me the romantic atmosphere is there before the date. If there is no such atmosphere first, there is no date , only meeting.
➡️ Do u maybe have a question about dates that i can put in this list??
Where do you think dating fits in a relationship?
Do you think dating is meant to get to know someone before starting the relationship? Or that it comes after the relationship began, once mutual feelings are well established? Or maybe as something different?
