You dont even know what i look like.

But no need i blush annoyingly easily.

Wowww that is really cool!!! Do u already start so early @Miss_Penpal at the ship school?? Or is more like introduction things. We have holiday in July and August. πŸ™‚

School officially starts on August 17th, but there are a few mandatory activities before that, I think there's one on the 15th and another one around that time too. I'm moving a bit early so I can get comfortable and get used to living there.

And it is a kind of shipping school right? And if u have to live there too i think that is a BIGGG change so i understand that u want to be there earlier so u get to know a lot of people first and that u know the place more. Is it really far from where u live now or can u just go home in the weekend normally?

Yes, I go to that school to learn navigation but it has other programs related to ships too, like naval architecture, diving, mechanical, etc.

It's actually pretty far from my current home, it's three hours away by car. So I won't be going home every weekend, but I definitely will be visiting sometimes. There's also a few mandatory classes I have to take that are in my family's city, so I'll be living there with them while I take those classes.

It is nice that u can be also close to ur family so at least u know people who are not really far!!! πŸ™‚ If u finish the school does it mean that u can have like ur OWN ship? And what would u like to do if u can do that?? πŸ™„πŸ™„ Like maybe for fishing or super large containers or tourism or nature or maybe other things??

YESSSSS u have to do that when u come!!! πŸ™‚ And i really like the idea about the Christmas ornaments from other countries. But your tree must now be super heavy with all the things in it!!! πŸ˜› πŸ˜›

Yeah we do have a looot of Christmas decorations at this point, but it’s fun!

We have a trip booked to visit Sulawesi in Indonesia this summer! Always a great prospect to explore new exotic and mesmerizing places!

Two of my friends and I, will make a summit attempt on the Cho Oyu's peak, in Tibet. The summit is scheduled for the 15th of July. It's going to be our first confrontation with one of the eight-thousanders.

That is super nice to read about all the summer plans!!! But can i ask @diogenes_cask if that is one of the highest mountains in the world and if yes do u have special training for it or it can be super dangerous right?? 😳😳😯

Yes, Cho Oyu is the sixth highest mountain in the world and the one of all 14 eight-thousanders. The technical nature of the ascent is moderate and excellent preparation for other eight-thousanders. For sure, my friends and I, have enough experience and skills in Alpinism. High-altitude climbing shouldn't be underestimated though. We are planning to climb all of the 14 peaks in next 5 years.

Sorryy maybe it is a stupid question but if you climb so high do u climb like still walking or really also like u see in films with those mini axes and shoes with super sharp spikes everywhere and it is like climbing a huge wall?? πŸ™„ And i think the eight thousand means 8 km and it is the height of the mountain? It is really cool that u are going to do that with ur friends but it sounds also dangerous and like a super big adventure!!!! πŸ¦Έβ€β™‚οΈπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

You are right, typical gear list contains equipments such as ice axes, crampons, trekking poles, and lots of carabiners and robes. Climbers must be able to carry an average of 15kgs or even more. But you don't climb all 8kms on a huge wall. Some parts you just need to walk through snow and ice.

That is really special but i think also really heavy to do. Maybe if u like it than u can make a forum when you are back and write about how the climbing was and if you reached the top and everything else from the trip. πŸ™‚
