I think having just one person who truly cares for me is more important. Someone who always worries about where I am and what I doing, who knows how to smile sincerely with me when I'm happy, and who knows how to grieve with me when I'm sad. Was there someone who stood by you and gave you strength when you were at your lowest point?

If you have someone like that by your side, no matter where you are, what you do, or what kind of life you live, you are the happiest person in the world..

I don't think so. It's entirely possible to love someone who is so terrible they are absolutely impossible to be with. In that case, one just has to step away and cut contact or at least keep very strict limits to it, no matter how much love there is

I think for me one of the most important things is that u feel safe. And i dont mean only that he would not hurt u but also that he respects how u are and does not put a lot of pressure on you or that he would ever shout bc that would make me block and feel very unsafe. I think it is very important that u feel safe bc if u dont feel that way i think u cant have love for each other and that u give ur ❤️ to him.

And honestly, the shouting part—I agree. Once things turn into that, it stops being a healthy space. You can disagree with someone and still stay calm and respectful.

Very much this. It's about it being safe enough to be imperfect, it being safe enough to fail, but also being safe enough to grow past your former shortcomings and become better as a person. A good partner is someone who helps you grow and become better

Not sure I should really share my own views on love, but I can agree with this. Love is a gift you make and a gift you welcome, it's a safe heaven you find and a safe heaven you provide, It's entrusting to another imperfect being the most fragile part of you and having at heart their most fragile part. It's a bit of sun in your soul when the other is there, and a damn painful void when that sun isn't left any chance to shine.

I also think what @Azryffel and @-Phil- said. And also it is abt lot of small things. Like for example one of my friends her bf often makes jokes abt HER when he is with his friends. And even when she does not say anything i KNOW it hurts her. So if u know that he really ❤️ u and that he does not want to hurt but to protect u that is very important to feel safe. And maybe if u make a lot of effort to do smt nice for him like doing ur best later and he lets u know in a way that he sees that and likes it. 🙂 But of course if he doesnt see it then it is also ok but maybe u can just see that he appreciate the things u do for him too. 😊😊🥰
