✨🌸 Some unexpected nice thing 🌈💌

No @Yue_, because it only happened the opposite to me: i had big dreams and hopes but they always turned into small nightmares. I daydream all the times, and i just collect illusions and fake expectations. I always appreciate the little things that happen to me, but none of them was really unexpected or gave me a considerable joy, at least, not for a very long time. I thought i found one of them lately but, in the last times, my heart and soul broke one more time, and i have to find to strenght to face the reality and go on once again.

a super small bag containing a stone heart from my sister. and from my other sister a crocheted radish.

This was about two years ago ago, I think. It was a very cold and cloudy day and I went of a walk. I met a woman, she didn’t look very happy, I think it was because of the weather. I just said “hello“ to her, but this made her smile so beautifully. She had such a wonderful smile. This smile made my day, and I still have to think about it sometimes.

I get that. Sometimes just saying 'hi' to someone you meet on the streets really makes their day and it makes you feel better as well! 😊🌼

This happened last year, my mom wasn't home, and my sister succeeded, so I decided to cook a cake to celebrate her even though I had never cooked a cake before. The cake was very simple and probably not perfect, but it made my sister smile and feel happy, and I will never forget how proud and happy I was of that little moment.

Even if something is not super big or expensive but for example a smile or baking a cake or sharing popcorn with somebody you dont know or a bear hug and it is unexpected, it is still nice that you can remember it always and that it is important to you!!

actually I don't remember to something special to me but I have the opinion/attitude that you have to do one good thing each day to another person. I don't succeed every day, but I try 🙂 and if it's only to get some lunch in the lunchbreak and take along something for a colleague. In my opinion it's the small things which change the world 🙂

I don't succeed every day, but I try 🙂 and if it's only to get some lunch in the lunchbreak and take along something for a colleague. In my opinion it's the small things which change the world 🙂

That is very nice @steve-san and maybe if you do a good thing that you dont expect anything back for it. And it does not have to be super expensive but for example we buy in turn bubble tea for each other but you expect it because everybody in our small group does that. But if for example i bring for lunch from my home it is almost always warm food and you can put it in a warm cup (thermocup). And others always have bread and you can share and they dont expect it. That is always funny. And it is more healthy than bread and less calories! 😛

But like @-Kiki- said for example you say hi to a stranger that is also unexpected and nice. It is like what you said @steve-san because small things are important! 🙂

I got quite a few happy little events. I saw foxes when I wasn't really in a nice mood in the field for example. Got to see a pine marten crossing the road nearby, had some pictures of baby lynx on cameras, and a lynx walking just in front of me in a park (inside the enclosure).
I get happy when I see some dogs looking for a nice petting session.

I also got really happy in different occasions when things were not looking good. I ended up in a village in the middle of nowhere someday and was afraid that I'd just be stuck with no money there, but was taken with a couple to my destination and got a memorable day with them. Similarly going to some restaurant without expecting anything and having a nice grandma that feed me like her grandson he just a small yet unexpected and great source of happiness/memory.

Even today was unexpectedly nice, for my work was a little praised and I was told that it gave new perspective to experimented researchers. I got a talk and encouragements, and that's a nice happy thing as well.

Unexpected happy thing: my uncle convinced my grandpa to have the Christmas dinner together, all of us!

My grandmother has dementia and it’s difficult for her to be out of her comfort zone. Previous festivities she was healing from falling and hurting her hips, so she couldn’t get in a car. My grandfather is highly protective of her so my family and I have been spending the festivities with them alone since we had to help take care of her, and to be honest it was kinda sad. This year, we spent it all together and it was a last minute decision. I was ecstatic 🩷

That is VERY beautiful @martutuni!!! I was in the summer with my parents in mainland China and my grandmother also has dementia and it is difficult to talk like when we talked in the last trip we made. But STILL i think it was very nice because you can be together and help her too. I hope that it was very special for your family and i am very thankfull that you said it and now i think back of my summer again too!! Thank you very much!! 🥰🥰🙏🙏
