Helloooo everybody!! 🙋‍♀️ In our school EVERYBODY gets super fast a nickname and it can change really often. But i think it is also funny so it does not really matter much!!! 😛 😛 So maybe it is nice to talk abt funny nicknames and i have just a few questions below. 1️⃣&3️⃣ My friends and family usually gave each others lighthearted and insulting nicknames based on disabilities, character traits, life choices or else. Sometimes it was to insult (with friends), most of the times it was for joking (both with family and friends).

4️⃣ I have heard for a lot of nicknames which are based on dark humour, I am not sure are they only urban legends or are they really someone's nicknames:

February - he has one leg shorter

Weekend - his real name is Nedjeljko Subotić (nedjelja=Sunday, subota=Saturday)

War veteran who lost his hand and his eye opened a restaurant and named it 'Pirate'

Pi - when the police breathalysed him he blew 3,14 promille

Juventus - his every other tooth is black

1. I have a few but the problem is that its kinda imposible to make nicknames from my real name the only one my family has got is Keku. But i get called a cat alot or anything that has something to with shortness. I toletare them. Not the biggest fan but i wouldnt go tell people to stop calling me any.

3. Nope. We just use proper names. Cause for some reason its impossible to make nicknames of finnish names. And we dont even use names in conversations.

My name but shortened mostly, but also "the mosquito" because there's a joke in my family that I steal the life force of others and their luck.

My family yes, because we're close so we're just messing with each other, but other people not really.

I don't really like nicknames, I think one name is enough to know who a person is and I don't see the point in adding more.

Vaag Jonkie, Zee van Autotjes, Dikkie and more, but they don't pop up right now. No, the ones mentioned now I don't really like.

Very normal in my family.

Have neighbours given you a nickname?

Our neighbours started calling me Marc, as they find my name too difficult.

I got some cute nicknames given by my friends like Sabribri or Sabby, and I like them.

But the funniest of them all is : Fabrice 😂

It’s a French name, and some teachers at rare times accidentally called me with this name… And I found it hilarious! 😂

So hilarious, that my family adopted the nickname. I even got nicknames from this nickname, so sometimes my cousins sometimes call me Fabricos 😂

Honestly I can’t think of anyone for now, because most people on PPG have profile names that are already nicknames in themselves. And like any nickname, they're easy to remember.

Yes, it’s affective, teasing sometimes, but playful!

Dikkie, because that means 'fat' in Dutch, and I'm actually not fat at all.

Quite a few, but one that has been most used is kitsune or stupid/evil fox. Yes, I like them, ahah.

Friends often, yes

here in the Philippines, the common nickname is Boy.. you would find lots of Uncle Boy, we have neighbours before where both of them has a nickname of Boy. to identify them, we call them Uncle Boy Opaw (shaved head) & Uncle Boy Daku (big), based on their physique.

also we have Auntie Baby, or Auntie Bebe.. and odd nicknames

we call Uncles or Aunties, to those who are elder than us, even if they are not related to us.

I had a LOTTTT of nicknames and mostly they are only funny and that for example they joke abt things. So for example in 1st year they called me baby turtle bc with the bag on my back they said the bag was too big for me so i look like a turtle but with short legs so they called me baby turtle. And after it i had a LOTTTT of nicknames that they make fun of that u are not super tall but that is difficult bc im 1.53 m and in Netherlands everybody that is Dutch is like a tree but with legs and like 1.85-2.10 or smt like that.

For nicknames i had couple like Dracieee for somebody who was here before on PPG and also Michael @Lir-Elhan is Gandalf and i think that others would also need a nice nickname. For example i think @Lianshen should be Mr. Darwin Guy and i like for Stasy her @PinkiePie that she already uses. And @TheLOVERofMachines is Nightwatch bc he does NOTTT sleep. 😛 😛 And i keep for @Etienne always monsieur Etienne but i forgot the name that Parsaa had for him on the forum one time 😃 And i like the humor from Kerttu @Torakka a lot so i have to find a nice nickname for her that is funny and nicer than what Torakka means.

With my family not really but my aunt one time called my uncle the smiling buddha bc she thought he was too fat!!! But in school YESSSSS a LOTTTTTTTTT and also but less in my friends group.

One time a guy that i didnt even know called me chopstick bc he thought my legs are too thin that time and that was craziest and not really nice i think. But i had several nicknames that make fun for height or how u look and then it is ok but one time it was really different and it is in Dutch botsauto but i dont know how to translate it in English. It is when cars in amusement park that u ride and try to hit each other and one person called me like that bc i slam super fast into things if u are distracted like against a table or door or against the wall.

I have actually never seen a cockroach in my life. I quess they dont really like the cold here.
