Scared of creeps? 😰

Hey everyone!! 👋🏼 THANK YOU for reading this! Do you sometimes have weird feelings with people who want to chat with you? Sometimes old ppl want to chat with me, and I kinda feel very uncomfortable then. Also, sometimes I get dms from someone who's around my age, but doesn't have any info or pfp... BUT everyone who reads this and who REALLY chat with me, are no people like that! SO what do you guys think about it? Can you help me?? 💔

I totally understand your reaction! But my parents dont want me to talk with old ppl at all. And I totally get it when ur mad about that questions! Those stuff are indeed something you should keep for yourself. People who want to be real friends would never say that! Anyways, thank you for sharing and answering! 🌞😊

@frozenpizza001 You can adjust the age you want to talk to in the settings so that older people cannot send you private messages. You can also block people if they say strange things or send @Etienne a message.

Well online,but also in real life,you’ll find young creeps of your own age too. Of course if they are older is creepier but unfortunately so many creeps of my age text me on instagram for example. You just need to accept their existence and block them. I also think it’s kind of creepy if the person i’m talking to doesn’t want to show her/his face: i’m talking to you online i need to know how you look. I removed all of my photos but if someone asked,i’d send my photos without problems cause they need to know how i look and that i’n really a 16 year old girl

Hiii @frozenpizza001 Sorry for answering super late!!! 😬😬 I get messages from people from all ages but mostly from others of the forum so i already know them!! 😛 ANDDD the forum is like one mega chatroom so you already know a bit how they are and most are really friendly. And sometimes if people send a message i always try to write back but if i dont feel comfortable i say it. And if it is really bad i will report to @Etienne BUTTT that the last only happened very few times. The last was on the forum when somebody was racist and talked abt violence being good so i reported that immediately. But that is not what you mean i think but you can just report or block or change the settings.

And what Rose @Idkbro said is right about also if they are also 14 or around that age that they can say really weird things. BUTTT that is ALSO irl so not only online. But my tip is just to say you are too busy or that you have to do smt else and they leave you alone and you can do what you wanted to do. 🙂 I am not sure if i answered your question completely but this is just what i think.

I disagree somehow with you @Idkbro , for example i cant make a photo of myself; if i do it, i have ti turn the front camera of my fathers phone to myself, and keep my finger steady to click on the right moment; weve put something on the screen camera, so it cant be used. And the phone needs to stay by the window (no mirrors nearby) to give HotSpot.

Ánd PPG (ore the phone, im not sure) does not anymore allow me to upload photos from the phone.

Well normally for people is very easy to take a photo😭apart from this that’s jusy my opinion,I don’t talk to someone online if I don’t know how they look,for my safety

Hi! I totally get your point. But I dont think that will happen here that fast though. Sooo I think there's a bigger chance of older people trying to talk to you, and trying getting pictures and that stuff. 🤗

I don't mind if older people write to me. What bothers me is when someone doesn't put their real age on their profile. I don't care about age, but I care about honesty, and lying about something like that doesn't leave a good impression on me.

I understand that sometimes you just get a vibe from someone and you KNOW you shouldn't trust that person, and that's totally fine. But if you feel that way toward all adults, I'm not sure what to tell you except than change your availability settings.

It's just, sometimes I just kinda feel something is wrong when I chat with someone. And then I will try to stay chatting with that person, but it just feels kinda uncomfortable. And when I feel that way, then I just tell that person how I feel about chatting with him/her/it. Soooo thank you! 💞

That and the rise of not-so-subtle AI pictures. I haven't seen too many on here yet but it's bound to happen here and there

I am much older than you, so allow me, to give you my opinion.

I think, you can be really proud of yourself, because you listening to your gutfeeling. If you feel uncomfortable, just stop communicate with this people.

Writing with penpals should be fun, not stressing you out. Or creeping you.

If you want to polite just tell them: Sorry, I cannot write with you anymore. - But you do not have to do this! You don't own anyone an explanation.

If the people still writing to you, just delete their posts without reading.

Everybody, but especially young people, have the right to decide, who you want to befriended with. You have the right to change your mind, even if you startet the correspondence.

It is so great, that you are able to talk about this.

I k own that alot of older people are really nice to me, and I am grateful for that 🤭 But there are some people who dont want to be that nice, and then I want to be polite so, like you said, then I just say that I dont feel comfortable to chat with them, so I archive the chats with them. Way i see it, anyone online can play a role one wants. Girl, boy, grandpa, grandma, 13, 54, 101. i cannot know and i dont wanna check. If i am amused by way someone thinks, writes i will go on with talking, if not i will end that talking. And for sure it functions other way too. For sure if i was a real teen i would set age limits, i mean back than when i was a teen last thing i got on mind was talking to old people. Now that i am old i really dont care anymore, i just wanna kill time when i got nothing else to do.

I don't think that this would be a conversation on equal terms. You may be a nice person, but unfortunately not everyone is like that.

An older person has much more experience. That can be good, but also very unhealthy.

What if the older one starts to manipulate? I believe that not every young person can see through that.

With that, I do not mean to belittle young people. They simply are not as experienced yet.

That's why I don't really think it's right to contact younger people.

Here in the public forum it's okay... but in a private chat? I think that's wrong.

I understand your feelings, frozenpizza001 but as Nannica said, this place is almost safe and if you can report something of really weird or bad, you can block anyway a person disturbing you also with no direct offense. There are a lot of good persons here, and some flesh hunters, as in all the social networks and in the "real" life. It's up to us to block and ban them.
