Hello everybody! 🙋‍♀️ Today somebody on PPG told me that that person will go to Budapest soon (I cant tell yet who bc i dont know if that is ok, but it is an adult couple). 🇭🇺 So i wanted to make a forum about Budapest and people can maybe help with good tips!!

So I have three questions and maybe you can help:

1️⃣ Have you ever been in Budapest and do you have nice tips for things to see, museums, restaurants, ice cream or bubble tea/coffee bars, souvenirs or anything else that you think is important?

2️⃣ If you speak Hungarian: can you give 1 or 2 nice or funny sentences to know in Hungarian?

3️⃣ Do you have nice dishes from Hungary that are nice to try?

In the past we had a Scotland forum for @HappyvomSee, a New York forum for @Idkbro and Mimi, an Amsterdam forum for @Lawrence11 and a Berlin forum for @Annika2007!! I hope that people can now help with this Budapest forum and help out with ANY tips!! 🙂

I tag some members from Hungary and hope that maybe they want to help. But anybody who can answer any of the questions above can of course post in this forum. Thank you very much!! 😊😊🙏🙏

Hello,
if they are into art, they can go to MNG(Hungarian National Gallery), they have some interesting exhibition like Art Nouveau poster art and material culture. There are several other exhibitions as well. Beside of Nyugati pályaudvar (railway station) there is a special Mcdonalds, partly they kept the original, old style of the building, so it's an interesting place. I think it's depends on their preferences too.
There are plenty of famous or less famous Hungarian dishes, now I recommend Nyírségi gombócleves (Dumpling soup, Nyírség style). You can read the recipe on this link : .

Hi! My last time that I was in Budapest I loved to look for the mini statues hidden around the city (you can easily find some of the locations if you google Kolodko), I also went to Belvédère Élisabeth and the view it’s amazing!

For ice cream Gelato Rosa is very tasty and I would recommend to go to Szentendre, is near Budapest and it’s very beautiful.

Many thanks @mezeipalko77 and @batiichela for your tips!!! This is really kind and already looked up online the suggestions and found this:

MNG: Hungarian National Gallery

Nyugati pályaudvar: railway station and the Mc Donald's

Nyírségi gombócleves

Kolodko: mini statutes
