Would you first tell your friends or ask them for advice? Or are you afraid they make jokes or dont understand maybe why you like THAT person? My crushes are pretty random, so I wait a while before taking anything seriously. I watch a lot of videos about love even if I'm not looking for a relationship right now, because I want to be ready once I get there. So I think I will be fine, and I'll tell the people that are important to me when the moment is right.

It's not a myth, it's just that you haven't found the right friends yet. And if your friends are people at your school, then I'm not surprised that you can't tell them everything because school friends are more like colleagues, in my opinion. If you just hang out with them and you can't trust them, then they aren't really your friends. I'm sure there's a lot of people that you can talk with about anything and they'll stay supportive, and I'm very sorry to hear that you've had bad experiences with this.

I would think about it a lot before telling them but actually it depends on the relationship with this exact friend. If this friends makes embarrassing jokes or can't keep a secret, don't tell them. If it's a friend who listens, doesn't judge and understands (even if you don't have the same taste at all), then I would talk with them about the crush. The one time I was in relationship, I barely talked about it with my friends but there's nothing wrong with asking questions or tips.
As long as you are comfortable with people you talk about and you trust them, and if you're also comfortable wit the idea of liking someone (like it can feel weird at first so sometimes you can be shy about it but then you start to be more comfortable), there's nothing wrong with telling your friends or asking questions.

The reason i ask it is that i can talk abt EVERYTHING with two of my best friends and they would not judge me or for example tell others. BUTTTT they both have super strong opinions about everything. And sometimes i think it is a bit difficult bc if you do things differently than it can also be awkward.
With some things i would rather talk with some people here private because i know they dont judge too much and only give tips and not for example super strong opinions. That often makes it for some topics easier to talk about than even with my friends.
