anil, that what I am exactly talking about! Russia doesn't need any dirty bombs. It's absurd. To except it, it means that Russia is not going anywhere. But the war is not ended, it's not started yet. Why would Russia contaminate these territories which Russia is going to take? It doesn't make any sense. To except this it would mean that Russia is disparate. It can't get these territories but to completely destroy them? But it's not so. It doesn't make any sense. More than that, to my surprise, there is a stand still on a front. I don't know why? Is there some agreements with the West? I don't know. But something is going on behind the curtains.

May be we speak about the same thing but is seems we don’t receive the same information. In contrary as what you say I don’t think Russian army will keep the territories you speak about. Since the beginning of this invasion in February, they showed how the army was bad prepared. The Ukrainians will soon liberate their land from this illegitimate occupation. If you can admit that, you can easily understand that throwing a dirty bomb that will contaminate the soil for decencies has no importance for Putin. That would be a stupid act of revenge from a dictator vexed by the resistance of people who do not want to be submitted. Putin is enough mad to do that. He already destroy infrastructures, civilian’s building and for the moment the electric power station to insure for the Ukrainian a freezing winter.
It looks like we cannot limit ourselves only on regional issue. It appears that there are TWO major camps:
Authoritarian States : Communist China, Russia, North Korea, Iran...etc.
Democratic states: Western Europe, US, UK, Australia, Japan....etc.
Whenever anyone of Authoritarian State got high stress from the Democratic States, there must be someone from their alliance to pop-up to try to distract the sight of Democratic States.

Yes, kylefu0912, to some degree you are right. But there is a small difference. It's not about democratic and not democratic states. I can agree that North Korea and Iran are not democratic states. But let's give them a choice! Isn't it better to act somehow differently than threaten them? What about diplomacy? Are we gave up? What other instruments are left? Just to bomb them to smithereens? No choice left? Why do we have to use only military power? Yes, I know, sanctions are not working. So, what else we can do? What about proposition of Putin long time ago - let's create a free economic zone from Lisbon till Vladivostok? Why this proposition wasn't taken? Was it because Russia is not enough a democratic state? I don't think so. Then why? Why the West did not accept his proposition? It wasn't in the interests of the West. That's why. West wasn't ready to play with Russia the fare game. So, the question is - who are these powerful people in the West who are trying to play own game? They don't care about world stability. All they care about own interests. They can start a new war imminently if their interests are at danger. And that's what they are doing now.
What the West can do about it? It can put some questions into relationship between Russia and China. It can show that the West is acting as a fare mediator, but it is not so. West is trying to put some salt in their relationship. Divide and conquer, it's ancient military skill. But why? Why we couldn't live together and live in piece? The free economic zone for Russia, Europe, China and many other state would be a perfect solution, but not to the USA. The USA would be left out in this arrangement. Do you think it's in the interests of the USA? That's why all these is happening.
Think German arms industry and US arms industry should deliver heavy weapons for Ukraine like e.g. new MG 42 1600 rounds per minute (and super swap drones = 5000 drones in one sky at the same time over the border area from Russia to Moscow). Would shoot EVERYTHING in Moscow!!!

Though I come from China, I still believe it is not rational of Russia to start the war with Ukraine. Russian Government should try to open negotiations with the Government of Ukraine. But now it seems impossible. There will be an escalation of the war without doubt. What a pity! I wish people from all countries can live in peace.
Vqs88_C3H6O, it is Ukrainian government didn't want and still doesn't want to talk with Moscow. It's there business. Although, problem of Ukraine can be solved very quickly, but who wants to solve it? The war in Ukraine is going on since 2014! Who did care? Who cares now? Yes, it's right! It's in the interest of the USA to keep this thing going. And Russia has to talk to the USA government, but not Ukraine. But it can wait. All these things can be settled in spring or maybe later.
