Jürgen Klopp said once: I don't want players who just don't want to lose but my players should be excited to win.

Ofen this season the Arsenal players were blocked and they have not gone straight to the win or goal.

I wonder if that’s the manager and his influence on the players? Klopp seemed very much an upbeat positive guy who is happy to show his emotions and enthusiasm. I’m not sure Arteta is so extroverted. He always seems a bit quiet, or complaining about decisions, I feel.

Ciao ,stai bene

I think the arsenal athletico game might be more interesting this time, they have to score to win. Paris and Bayern have shown weak defense they might work on that this week and be less on the offensive at least for Paris.

Arsenal is back in the game. After Everton great performance, they can rebecome Kings of England, maybe this is an extra motivation to smash Atletico to night. Last year Arsenal played two half finals, the ladies conquered France and then they became queens of Europe and the men lost to Paris Scheich Germain. This year the ladies lost to Lyon, so "Can the men be masters of Europe now"?

Good luck tonight Arsenal 👍

thx, again it was not spectacular but it was, I think I can say, English. A tough, tight fight and now East London, the Hammers are calling. Again a tough fignt waits against a grogy team who MUST win

we need Silver as some guys needs water ...

Arsenal AtleticoMadrid 1 0 .....Arsenal in final but no beauty match, now for the Gunners better PSG or Bayern?

For me better Bayern

Should be a good contest tonight. Both very good attacking teams. I hope Bayern get through, but their defence is a bit fragile. Arsenal don’t have such a good attack as either of these, but they defend well and don’t concede a lot of goals. It’s not always pretty but it’s effective. Their midfield is very good too, with many options.

Any prevailing thoughts on the CL battle of attrition between PSG and Arsenal this evening? I have seen mere snippets of the match, but am keen to hear the view of actual spectators. It seems that some players may benefit from some additional oxygen on the increasingly shorter path towards the start of the World Cup.

Tapping instead of running when shooting penalties... very often results like it did today

I thought Arsenal battled well, and as expected it was the strength of their defence versus the talent of PSG attacking players. Unfortunately their best penalty takers had been substituted by the end. Saka, Odegaard and Havertz are usually reliable to score penalties, but the manager had put other attacking options on the field in an effort to score a goal before the end. I wonder if he regrets this now? Gabriel took his first ever penalty shot for arsenal and missed. Eze doesn’t often take penalties, and that stuttering run up didn’t fool anyone. Sad for them to lose on penalties.

Pity, that a penalty had to decide....

As Arsenal Fan, yesterday evening i drank a sour tequilla. I made a bet with a PSG fan so I had to pay it after the game and it was so hard. Wettschulden sind Ehrenschulden.

Despite the effective defensive approach of Arsenal, as a "neutral" I am delighted for PSG to take the trophy back to France. It is sour for any given final to be decided on the basis of a penalty shoot out. Nevertheless, an attacking - and in my view significantly more entertaining - style of play should be rewarded. I think PSG can sincerely claim to be the "best of the rest" - certainly when based on the entire tournament.

Yes, I think most neutral supporters would agree with you. The Bayern semi final first leg was exciting and well worth watching, and it’s a shame that it wasn’t the final. Arsenal play to their strengths and have won the English premiership by grinding out many games and scoring from set pieces with their tall players quite often. The system has worked for them, but it isn’t usually exciting to watch, hence the unwanted nickname of “boring” Arsenal. They went undefeated in the champions league this year, I believe. If not for several of their usual penalty takers being substituted they could have won the trophy without dominating possession and playing exciting and attacking football for most of the game.
