I think Internet is a good way of make friends around the world but Just FRIENDS.
Remember you don't know who is really writing or talking to you.

the internet is a great way to make friends and to learn about yourslef i think.

and if your friend wants to be more then that. thats fine to. Long distance can work, you just need to right amount of trust.

I think the Internet is a great tool to communicate with people from all the word.
But it's virtual, we must be carreful with who we are speaking, people might be very different in the real life.
I have met a person (almost) by the internet, we have becomming friends and I have seen him in reality, it was a really really good experience (lucky me)
But because of the distance (1208km!) we can't have the relationship that we hope, that's sad.
So thanks to the internet I have made a wonderful meeting.

Online relationships can be very tricky. It is only ok if it's for friendship but if it leads to romantic relationship, then it can be a very tricky situation as it involves a lot of effort between the two lovers (well, it's ok if if they both can manage it).

The human relations are necessary for the continuation of the life.
Now the internet is one of the means to improve relationships ...

I can remember before internet, we had to learn about other countries and people by reading books. I really enjoy the internet because it brought most of the people of the world closer. It does have its drawbacks, because of the bad side of human nature. If you can maintain perspective, then it can be a wonderous place. Virtual relations can be good and bad. You have to be careful and remember someone could be listening and reading. It is like a talking in a large room with a lot of people. Just remember that and you will be fine. The internet can help with the emotional aspect of our psyche, but as for the physical???? That still needs human interface. LOL

I think internet is really good to make new friends, especially from other countrys. And when you have talked with someone in internet, you will maybe meet him/her some day in real life : ) And then can be "real friends" too.

I think the internet is a pretty useful thing. And it's great for friends, but relationships, romantic ones, over the web? I don't like that idea. It's not very practical, because honestly you don't know who exactly you're talking with, they could be half way around the world and you would never meet them. People tend to rely a lot on romantic relationships and make them big parts of their lives. i don't think talking over a screen can be big enough or sincere enough to be a true loving relationship

It is agreat place to make friends and i have know people who have formed great relationships by getting to know from the net.well it depends who you get to know what you really want.two of my friends met through the net,fell in love ,married and living happy. so it all depends

I think that internet help for meet new people we couldn't know in the real life, but we have to be careful !! There are dangerous people everywhere !! But I think it's wonderful to talk online with people who live on the other side of the planet (^___^)
