I don't understand

A couple things here. Reporting "criminal activity" is a serious accusation, I'm not sure making a public post without any information other than this vague statement helps. Like stated previously, please use the "report" feature when you see something suspicious. We look at every report. When a report comes in, sometimes we take action that is visible, sometimes that action is not visible, and sometimes we decide to wait some more because we feel like we don't have enough information to make an informed decision as to how to act. Many times as well do we receive false positives.

We have a bunch of ways to detect fake profiles, including verifying location yes. It can get quite complex, for instance there is a greater tolerance for VPNs from countries such as Iran and China which are infamous for having state firewalls

I also went to other penpal sites, but they have a lot of fraudsters, and the interesting thing is that the same site had set rules and regulations, but as a result, it was absurd. There is something like hacking or fraud and information theft on the sites, but in my opinion, the activity Criminality is a big and weird thing on social media!!!

Yes, there has been a lot of fraud in the field of social networks, it has even caused many people to be deceived, unfortunately, various social apps, especially Instagram, care about things that are not important instead of considering other things as important!
