  • A personal challenge

I’m looking for regular conversations and not to talk once a week or month. That’s pointless to even keep a profile on any website and it’s boring, isn’t it? It becomes impossible to keep long-lasting conversations if we do answer once every two weeks or so 😅.

    With that being said 👇🏻

🇬🇧🇺🇸 Hello everybody! My name is Mattia and I come from Milan, a quite famous city which is located in the North of Italy 🇬🇧🇺🇸

🇩🇪🇦🇹Hallo allerseits!

🇫🇷 Salut a tous!

🇮🇹 Ciao a tutti!

Becoming a polyglot (being able to speak at least four languages fluently).
That has been my goal for a lot of time now 😄
I wish I could speak all those languages as fluently as English or Italian, however I want to work hard on them to achieve my goals.

  • Something to tell the world!

Everyone can text me, I’m seeking long-term friendships from all over the world with whom speaking regularly.
I joined this website to get to know new people and improve my language skills.
I think this is one of the best websites - as well as free - to get to know new people from all over the world! 😄 So don’t hesitate to text me.
I would love to hear from you as long as your language skills allow us to have fluent conversations!

  • I'm excited about...

I am particularly proud to be keeping a healthy lifestyle.
I started going to gym in 2020 and I couldn’t be happier about it: it’s a huge help to improve yourself, both physically and psychologically! You don’t have to go there just because you want to build muscles. Your mental health always comes first, and if you are somehow feeling down, sad, going to gym a few times a week could definitely make a difference.

  • I'm an expert at...

I do consider myself as a well-informed person about geography, history and politics, as these are among my favorite topics to have long-lasting conversations about.
I am also into loads of other subjects, including law, criminology, psychology, astronomy and astrology.

  • I recently learnt...

I recently (re) started learning German on Duolingo, let’s see how I will perform 💪🏻

  • Cities and countries I have visited

I have been to Switzerland, France and Germany, however it's been quite a lot of time since I traveled abroad, however I would definitely love to visit those countries (and many others) again 😄.
I also visited Palma de Mallorca (Spain 🇪🇸) last summer, and I truly liked it (although I was merely there for two days). There were more Germans than Spaniards, now I know why it’s considered the 17th German land 🤣.

  • Living abroad for one year

Spain 🇪🇸, possibly in the Southern regions and in a seaside city in order to benefit of its mild climate even in the winter.
Apart from that, I wouldn't mind living in London, Paris, Berlin, Hamburg, Switzerland or Japan.
I recently began to develop a true interest towards the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I really like all its cities, towns, festivals, cafes. It’s just a meaningful country to me.

  • Favourite books/authors/films

As a Netflix addicted, I have already watched several tv series. My favorite ones are Prison Break and Breaking Bad 😄

  • Personal skills

If there’s an ability I am aware of, is to able to learn a new language faster than the average. I’m truly talented at it 😄

  • I always enjoy talking about...

I proudly remember intellectual, endless conversations regarding politics, actuality, as well as geography, history, what should have been accomplished by the previous generations and what the pros and cons of living in a technologically developed society truly are.
Therefore, I am always available to discuss about the most sensitive topics - within the limits of decency for obvious reasons.
You should always pay enough attention to your words, regardless of what the topic is but even more when it comes to politics, for instance.

  • Making the world a better place

Well, we human beings should learn how to be respectful towards our similars.
There’s a lack of politeness, civic sense. There are too many toxic people all around the world.
We have to learn a lot from the animals, in my opinion.
Nevertheless, fighting pollution, corruption and criminality should be a priority, but who’s interested in doing that? Almost no one.

  • My opinion on human nature

I seriously intend to believe our world is still populated by loads of genuine, helpful, friendly and, most importantly, honest people.
However, based on excessively hijacked tendencies regarding the so-called: “good life” on the Internet, the vast majority of the human beings have consequently developed a superficial, hypocrite mentality. We are more materialistic than ever.
Selfishness has sadly become more diffused than altruism.
Perhaps it used to be different several decades ago, I cannot confirm nor deny it, however it is certainly counterproductive now.

  • Life regrets

I have never been able to enjoy my life, and I'm already 25 years old.
I haven't had a bad childhood at all, however I have always been a strict person, always serious, introvert, and so on, that's why I have never had much fun.
Guys, don't do that, because life goes fast, especially at our age. Spend your money (which doesn't mean wasting them). If there's something you want to buy, go ahead and do it. If there's something you want to do, just go straightforward to your way without letting anyone judge you.
People live to make you feel inferior, and no one has the right to do it! 😉

  • It was better before

There used to be more sincerity, kindness, respect towards everyone, qualities which are slowly disappearing.
Nowadays it’s more likely someone will uncaringly put their feet on you rather trying to support you.

  • 10 years from now

I cannot predict my future, however one of my current dreams is to move abroad and leave Italy once and for all.
I have always been into experiencing new cultures, traditions as well as encountering people from all over the world, therefore I crave to finally step out of my comfort zone.
I am aware that we reluctantly do that, as we will never feel as safe as in the place we were born and raised it, however it is also crucial to experiment new things. Life is only one and it should be lived fully, with no regrets.

  • It is better now

Mmh, yes, technology, smartphones and such things. However, that's our society's ruin. We no longer look at each other when we hang out. We prefer looking at our smartphones, which is sad.

  • Something uncommon about me

An Italian who isn’t into neither pasta neither ice-creams can be considered as a truly unique person in my opinion 😀

  • My interests in other cultures

Having a speech with someone who is not from my hometown, with people who have different habits, traditions and ways to see the world. That is perhaps the second thing which can actually make you richer (the first is traveling).

  • My proudest accomplishments

Undoubtedly having learnt fluent English and Spanish within a relatively short amount of time. That’s certainly my biggest achievement and the thing I’m more proud of.
My skills may not be as perfect as a native speaker’s (they will never be) - however whenever I realise I can easily communicate with people from all over the world (unlike the average Italian person who usually speaks no other languages) - it makes me proud and happy.

Shall I mention how difficult learning Kanji (Japanese) is? 😂 Each Kanji ideogram has got multiple pronunciations depending on the context. It’s crazy.

  • I wish people knew more about...

We might be the most brilliant minds of Earth, however we never stop learning.
    Never ever.
Learning about new things will always turn out to be useful sooner or later.

  • A career without obstacles

A successful career? That is what we all want, let’s not deny that.
Obstacles will always represent an enormous step of our lives, no matter how skilled we are at a certain job.
I would love to work internationally whilst speaking multiple languages within the same workplace, suddenly switching from English to Italian, to German, Japanese and whatsoever 😄

  • Childhood pleasures

Collecting Pokemon, Dragon Ball and Yu-Gi-Oh cards 😂😂
There were more card sellers in my school than drug dealers in the world ahah

  • As a child, I wish...

I would not change much, to be fair.
Overall, I enjoyed my childhood a lot and I couldn’t be more satisfied about that.
I remember I had no specific dreams. I simply used to innocently live day by day. Playing games and waiting for Christmas as a worker waits for his pay check at the end of the month.

  • My parents and me

My parents and I are completely different people. We hardly-ever have something in common.
Furthermore, we have our ups and downs, which is something widely common among the other families as well.
Overall, we do get along quite well although there might still be conflicts regarding some past episodes that were not previously resolved.
I don’t really mind. I love them and they love me. Being the same - or not - honestly doesn’t interest me at all.

  • My feeling about the future

I’m highly concerned about my future. My biggest doubts are mostly due to the precarious working conditions we’ve got in my country.
Therefore, I would prefer moving abroad someday. Living in an efficient, well-organized country where I could buy my dream house, find new friends and work on my hobbies. Lastly, a satisfying job which allows me to travel 🧭

However, if someone asked me whether I am feeling positive about it, my answer would be: “no”.

  • I feel concerned about...

Well, let’s rather admit I haven’t got a bright future ahead.
Being stuck at your mother’s house by the age of 25, without a proper job, little to no satisfactions, not even real friends, it knifed you whenever you think about it.
I’ve been doing my best but it looks like there is no place for you if you do not comply with nowadays’ stereotypes society ruthlessly requires.

  • Over or underrated

Ourselves. There isn’t a lot to say in my opinion.
We all tend to underestimate ourselves - or to overestimate, depending on the context.
We should all be more concrete, transparent, well-focused on the realty and less on the past/future.
Future is made by our actions, what we decide to do is relevant to our lives, regardless of the fact that you are going to make a positive or negative decision.

  • Improving the school system

Unfortunately the Italian school education system tends to focus on the most useless, irrelevant subjects, whereas there should be more opportunities to learn English - which is hardly-ever spoken here - and to practice your skills, without focusing on theory for too long. It’s obviously essential, however it’s not everything. Practice is as important as theory.

  • A trick or piece of advice

If you can’t fall asleep or you suffer from insomnia, there are loads of relaxing videos with nature sounds, which could include rain, storms, wind, waves, otherwise relaxing haircut videos with scissors or catchy conversations you could listen to. YouTube is full of such videos and I can ensure you they can represent a huge help!

Put your headphones on and you will fall asleep very soon 😉😴
