I prefer arthouse horror movies. Some stylish touch of art top over gradually builded atmosphere, feels a lot better than the boogie in the closet or the slasher under the bed sort of movies.

Horror, thriller, action, mystery, drama, documentaries, musicals, comedies, historical films, etc...
There are a lot of different types of movies and I'm curious about what people prefer. If you have any recommendations feel free to post them here!
action, mystery, musicals, comedie.
i wonder, what do you think about nosferatu, sir?
If we are talking of the Nosferatu producted by Robert Eggers, then I have a lot to tell. Set designs and costumes were incredibly accurated and stylish, He was able to restore eerie and cold atmosphere in previous Nosferatu movies. Shade factor in screen is his modus operandi and he used it in this movie fascinatingly well. The story is kept pretty basic since it's a remake of a very classic story. That's why the film has been constructed meticulously in a gothic tone and dark vibes. I fell in love with lushly beautiful with fine period costumes which made the cinematography alluringly magnetising. I've found the Count Orlok character phenomenal. Horror and mystery elements shared equally into the plot. Public critics on the movie were quite bitter. I can easily understand the reason. For the past twenty years, we used to watch "sweet", "cute", "affable" vampires. But in this movie Orlok is horrific, ugly, evil, cold and heartless. As it originally intended. All in all, I liked it a lot, and I call it grotesque work of art, visually stunning.

I completely agree with you, personally, i see nosferatu as movie that perfectly embodies a dark romance, presenting two contrasting male leads: the lover, Thomas and the crazy, dominant, obsessive ex Count orlok a.k.a Nosferatu (which secretly lot of ladies love his obsessive character hhh)
As a fan of dark romance set in kingdom eras, I appreciate how these stories introduce male leads with gripping intensity, both fighting for female lead ownership in completely contrast intention & background which inseparable. (SPOILER ALERT)
Recently, i watched Nosferatu in cinema with my boyfriend, it felt like watching a dark romance novel haha, The execution was spot-on, it deserved a huge, lot of thumbs-up.
Throughout the film, I chuckled at several scene that for me is very familiar, especially Nosferatu’s introduction. However, for those unfamiliar with dark romance, the film might feel unsettling, odd, boring, like "?????" and feel unsatisfied as they focus on its horror elements while forgetting its movie is also a slow burning, gothic/dark romance film.
but for the ending, very satisfying, no one can beat an obsessive, crazy, dominant man (even himself) when it comes to desire 🤣
"when there is a will, any means are justified only to make the desire come true" it feels very satirical remembering many people who did the same haha

It was an iconic scene "entering Orlock's Castle of Dread." I felt the dreadful cold through the screen. Yes, indeed, either ordinary or extraordinary, all men are chained in the desire. Vampires are no exception. 🙂
I completely forgot to write in your forum @Miss_Penpal!!! Whoops sorry!!! But my favourite kind of movies are Korean dramas on Netflix and Viki!!! 🥰🥰❤️

It's fine, don't worry about it. Do you have a favourite Korean drama?
P-S: If you haven't watched them yet, I really recommend 'Behind your touch' and 'The Alchemy of Souls' (on Netflix ).
Yesss 'Alchemy of Souls' i know BUTTT not the other one that you mentioned. My favourite is 'Crash Landing on You'. 🏆🏆🥇
Ohh, I don't know it, I'll ask my sister if she wants to watch it with me (she loves K-Dramas so much, she wants to watch ten episodes a day (and they last an HOUR, it's insane)
Horor its my favorite 😱
Horror horror, or just scary movies?
I like zombie movies and series. Or plague and pandemic stories.
I find that very exciting and thrilling.
I always wanted to ask what's the point of horror movies. With all respect, isn't it a little (say "a little") uncomfortable? Not to say stressing, horrifying, paralyzing... 😃
How come you like those horrors? I'm asking with all respect, I'm just curious about.
Regards and good cinema.
