Is anyone else here too insecure to put up a photo of their face??

Don't you like your parents not to like your "mixed race" face? Not to say that most of people in your country are kinda mixed.

As for messages, try to put a picture, even if it's not your face, and start talking to others. You certainly will not get many messages or people will ignore you more than if you had your face or body on pfp, but you'd get a better result than having nothing at all as pfp.

It doesn't matter in my case.

I feel the same(except for the mixed race part), my mom always tells me to be really careful online because there are many bad men who will take advantage of me for being a girl and for looking the way I do. Also I am insecure about my face. So I understand why you don't have a photo of yourself. But Lianshen is right if you don't have a photo at all it's more likely people won't look at you profile. So you can put a picture up from something you like without your face.

Not me. I don't have any photo of me in my profile because I always forget to ask to someone. In fact, I'm blind so I really don't care. I prefere the new function to send vocals.

yes i feel insecure but for other reasons. previously I use photo of my face uncovered, now I ps it with a mask on. feeling more secured now.

I made and make a lot of photos of myself, but I cannot share them with anyone/put them up on social media. Partly it's my parents not allowing me to do so and partly that unless I know a person for a long time (maybe 5 months or more) I don't feel like sharing a photo with them. They might be not who they claim to be, or they might just laugh and not share back, or give a fake one. I always think that doing a voice call with someone is a much better way to know and trust them more.

I don't feel comfortable to put a picture of me partly because I don't have a good self esteem. Also, I've tried to put a picture before, really normal, really neutral, but I've also received several messages from men for bad reasons. So I've removed it and haven't had this problem since then.
