For those interested in a more scientifically based personality evaluation I recommend the big 5 personality assessments. Sometimes they are known as the Canoe or Ocean personality models. There's a great book on the model that's enjoyable to read and isn't just a boring academic book. It's "Personality: What makes you the way you are" by Daniel Nettle.
Nettle's book discusses not only the different personality traits but also shows that some of them have some degree genetic prediction behind them. I found the book highly illuminating.

I've heard about ocean being a more accurate test scienitfically speaking (althought I think both of the tests gives a Barnum effect). However, it's difficult to find a free and detailed test. For instance, although being interesting, truity doesn't provide much information and even a proper resume is under a paywall...
